  • Way back in 2016 I made a demo called reload it was very popular getting over 23,340 plays but it was my first game so my programing was a mess (I put everything in one event sheet with no groups and no notes lol) and honestly after spending 5 months on making the demo I was sick of it and wanted to move onto new projects I then had a series of personal tragedies and stuff I really don't want to get into anyway here I am with a completely new version of written from scratch and I am determined to get this game finished this time.

    So what is Reload? it's an attempt to recreate the classic lightgun games but in 2D it won't be a long game with Arcade mode only being about 15 minutes long.

    so here is what I have made so far

    mine just closed again when trying to change the project name

    I just came on the forum to report this bug but it looks like I am not suffering alone. There seems to be no pattern to it I tried to open a new event sheet and that made it crash another time it happened when importing sprites can we downgrade to an earlier version of C2 I have only had this problem since I upgraded.

  • hello, everyone, I am trying to upload a game I made it into the scirra arcade and I keep getting this error message

    I opened up an older game I was working on and tried uploading that but I got the same problem

    I also tried both firefox and chrome

    any suggestions?

  • so so sorry for the delayed response I am working full time right now and I only just now got a chance to give it a try I am still very new to this and I am not entirely sure I understood the code here what I did it does not seem to work where am I going wrong

  • but here is the problem if the cover sprite is behind them you still can't hurt them is it possible to say if the cover is on a layer higher than enemies and you click on the cover and enemy it won't hurt the enemy

  • hi all I am creating a game where you can hurt enemies when you click on them would it be possible to have area-specific damage like being able to shoot a limb off how would I do this maybe by spawning to other sprites that are hitboxes the same time I spawn the enemy? and pin them to the enemy but that would be tricky since I plan to scale the enemy often since I will be having them walk towards the screen so I would have to scale the hitboxes at the same time..any idea

  • hello everyone I am creating a game where you click on enemies to hurt them what the best way to create a cover system so if you click on an enemy but if there is another sprite in front it will not hurt them

  • so I get the idea of using a parameter in the function to set the global variable for squad number it is just the checking of how many enemies with that number are on screen is where I am failing

    I am reading and rereading your code and I can't make heads nor tails out of it.

    so I use pick by elevated but I can't seem to use the x command I know this is probably super basic stuff but it really is flying over my head

  • I know it is 3 months since I last posted on this but I just could not figure out how to get this running then I got a new idea and moved on to a new game well I went back to this one and I still can't get my head around this could I possibly have a demonstration capx or perhaps you could just get it running and take a screenshot of the code if it is not to much trouble
