  • File a bug report following all the guidelines and I'll look in to it.

    The last report I did was closed and the bug exists, you just have to do with two monitors and configuration that I put in the screenshot.

    I've tried on another computer with 2 monitors and bug also occurred.

    I will not take the time to make another report.

    It's simple, when writing the name of a group with "set group active" and press space, the suggestion offered by the dialog box is automatically selected.

  • When you start typing the name of a group, suggestions appear, then if you press space automatically is selected suggestion.

    This is annoying because I did not want to choose that suggestion, just want to make space to write the name and accept a possible suggestion.

    I'm not saying I accept the suggestion when I press space.

    So I have to erase the name again to avoid unwanted suggestions.

    Can you solve this ?.

    Suggestions should be selected with ENTER, not with the space bar.

    I want to write the name of the group but I can not because when pressing the space bar, the suggestion is selected, though not correct.

    I have a dilemma that I was hoping you guys who have used the full version of construct2 maybe can help me with.

    - Should I buy Construct 2?

    I've been looking for a while to create mobile games both for Android and iOS as a fun hobby. Since I work more than full time I don't have time to learn the depths of coding but more create fun games that I myself want to play. I have used the evaluation version of construct 2 and also have a colleague that have bought it for his hobby.

    The dilemma I have is that Construct 2 says it support export to Android and iOS but my understanding after looking trough the forum and trying to help my colleague with actually export, convert, build and publish a game is a nightmare using Construct 2 compared when looking at forums for competitors software.

    It doesn't seem to be an easy way to export, convert and build game for those devices when using software such as Intel XDK without getting into problems. There is no official guide, youtube video or forum post that is up to date with the topic, and looking trough the forums both here and the Intel forums there seems to be problems and workaround that is not the most stable. (Speaking from experience when my colleague tried to build his game using Intel XDK)

    On the other hand when looking trough competitors they have up to date guides, easy to follow steps and even sometimes built in to the software themselves easy to follow steps to publish to Android and iOS.

    So to my question, is it worth spending the $99 on Construct 2 with the goal of easy publishing or should I spend more somewhere else to get what I'm looking for? (the hassle free building and publishing)

    What are you guys the experience in building "native" apps? Have I maybe overlooked an official up to date guide that actually works? How is the performance in your games on phones?

    I really like Construct 2 and the way it handles game creation and that is where my dilemma comes in since I want to believe that this is the best option for me...

    I agree that there should be an official guide for XDK, updated with each new version of XDK y C2.

    Possibly if you have enabled certain options of "Developer options" in Android, that could cause failures.

  • I see what you mean. It's a different problem. Does it happen or less in some situation? I never noticed this. My problem seem to be a windows phone bug, maybe your is related to your phone also. Did you google if anyone else with this phone have same problem. I don't think it's a C2 issue.

    But emulators work properly.

    Your have you tried that ?, you worked ?.

  • The blue sprite will fail to follow your finger if touch is failing. Move the finger across the screen to see the blue dot follow.

    object count I can add, but it's not important, I'm only trying to detect if touch is failing or not.

    I think your case is different from mine.

    In my case (in my game) when I touch sometimes the touch is not detected but if I drag your finger at that time, then the touch is detected.

    So if your example is to drag your finger, I see no fault there.

    But if there is failure if you just touch the screen every time without dragging your finger.

    You will notice that the blue dot sometimes does not respond to touch, here is the strange.

    I tried that test but I found a little confusing, why not add a indicator or something that highlight the detection of a touch ?.

    Or maybe you see something on the screen to indicate that the touch has been detected.

    You could also add a text str (sprite.count), so you can see when the touch has been detected since this variable will increase its value.

  • I mentioned this before, I too have faults in touch with my game, so far I could not prove it but it seems that there is something wrong with the system touch.

  • The program is fine, at first could not transparency, the disadvantage is you have to have selected a theme Aero to have transparency, this happens in Win7.
