  • Not really. It would only help if you were checking for collisions.

Using render cells under layer properties would probably save you more.

  • anglerotate(start, end, step) Rotate angle start towards end by the angle step, all in degrees. If start is less than step degrees away from end, it returns end.

  • Is the object still moving, or is it just changing angles?

  • I expect "Make Kong Great Again!" posters at some point.

  • You're applying pressure to the wrong side of the equation.

Scirra gets nothing in return, and has C3 to think about(which includes the sdk for it btw), but the portals are the ones that actually have anything to gain.

Contact them, tell them that it benefits them, and remind them that flash is dead.

Ask them what will replace the many thousands of flash games that no longer work.

  • It feels kind of a awkward that I have to explain this but oh well.

Game running on Kongregate =/= Kongregate API support. Believe it or not - but some of us make games for a living aka profit. And without proper Kong API that profit is handicapped, IF we would like to make money from there.

About those "dozens of game portals"... care to name at least 10? would you kindly...?

Should be easy if there is so many of them..

    Google html5 games?

    Lazy much?

This guy will do it for you, for a fee:

Also the Kong api gets you 10% extra.

For a total of 35% of the ad revenue

    Yippee.

    But wait!

You can get an extra 15% for a total of 50%.

If your game is exclusive or sponsored !

  • I have a plain html5 export running on Kongregate right now.

Rex just made some plugs for newgrounds.

The Gamejolt API v2 is still in the works, but yellowafterlife updated his plug in 2014 to handle most if not all of the api, including server storage.

I do believe he checks in occasionally, and has a fairly permanent web presence.

I would interject the option still remains that you can make a plug, or contract someone else to make a plug.

Surely the profits from your videos would pay for it.

Also let me say there are probably dozens of game portals that accept html5 games, and several of those also have C2 plugs.

Many of those also have more traffic, globally than Kongregate, and Newgrounds.

  • Rpg?

Everything in the how do I section sticky.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Given that you don't have a pc, and probably don't have a C2 license which you need if you plan on making any profit from a game made or edited with the editor, I would contact the author, and see if they can do it for you.

    • Post link icon

True. Parse would be an example, and Google is famous for dropping services.

  • Looks like the delivery network is a bit slow today.

Perhaps it's because of the sale.

I just wonder when we'll see fallout from all the people migrating to theses other services.

For services with a paid plan it's not a big issue, but itch, and git... who knows.

I will say the pricing on Firebase is a bit dubious. The first tier is 25 a month, which is high imo, compared to Dropbox at 9, but the Blaze version seems doable with the pay as you go plan.

It doesn't make much sense to do it like that, but ehh.

  • It would not be more cpu intensive.

It would use more memory than just using instances.

Keep in mind all instances share the same texture.

  • OK, I guess look up Steam games made with C2 on Steam Spy, and you will get some data.

It's not going to be a lot. The Pc market is lackluster, indie games are under priced, and so called AAA games are overpriced beyond compare.

If you want metrics, go get the amount of likes, and the number of followers from social media.

It is as they say "going to be a bumpy ride"
