  • Pretty interesting prototype! Looking forward to it

  • Hello, the other day I added support for Play Games Service from Google in my Android app I have in the Play Store, so I could add leaderboards and achievements.

I downloaded and installed Cocoon's plugins in C2, and I added CocoonAds, CocoonCanvasPlus and CocoonGooglePlayGames in the project.

In the loading screen I created this action:

On start of layout + Is Canvas+ = Request login.[/code:14faonb3]

I have another way of login in, via a button on a optios menu, in case the first login failed:
    [code:14faonb3]On tap gesture on button + Is Canvas+ = Request login.[/code:14faonb3]

After that, I exported the project with Cordova, using this options.

    [img="https://i.gyazo.com/737cf99411ec6ac0ea3a97789163673d.png"]

Finally, I upload the zip (without the config.xml and intelxdk.config.additions.xml files, as I saw in a tutorial) and proceed to set up the app information in Cocoon.

Then I add all the plugins I use, and I make sure I add the APP_ID. (censored in pick)

I sign the app, and compile it. Then, I upload it to the Play Store as a beta update (I have it enabled in the Games service).

I download th egame from the Play Store, launch it, and when the login stuff starts, it shows me the Connecting screen, and the loading spin.

Then I get back to the game without the Welcome user! popup and nothing happens, even a little image I added in case the login fails, appears.

Is there something else I need to do? Should I reinstall the plugins, or create another app or game service? It worked the frist time I tried the plugin, but after some time, it stopped working. I even tried uninstalling the game, and deleting the game and Google Play app cache.

    Help!
  • God bless Kevin MacLeod.

But I might need to check other sources...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Pyxel Edit for 1$? That's a deal.

  • The URL of your game is the address that you have it posted to.

In order to do what you are asking, you have to have a server-side application talking to a database or cache.

    That sounds complicated, kinda...

I've been doing some research and I've found a plugin called Cransberri, should I just buy that plugin and use it? Looks way easier.

    Thanks for your response!

  • I got the Play Store license, my game published there (exported with Cordova on Intel XDK) and I've read the Scirra tutorial on the Play Store several times, but when I reach the part it says I need to create the service as an Web app and the Dev console asks me the URL the game is played, I don't know what to say.

Is the tutorial up to date? Should I try another plugin?

I just want people to login, play a bit, get a couple of achievements and compete on the leaderboards.

    Thanks for the info.

  • you can add trading cards for free and without plugin...

you can add achievements and leaderboard for free but you need a plugin

    Thanks for the info!

  • I got a few questions about it, I know that in order to publish a game you have to pay a fee and pre-release it in Greenlight, but that's not a problem... the questions are:

Is it free/easy to add achievements/trading cards? I think those extras can help a little game sell more.

  • Hello friens, I working on a minigame and I dunno how to make the hitmarker where I want it.

I did a picture to show you.

I got the hitmarker moving from side to side like the black arrows, but I want it to move like the green line, can someone help me?

  • Oh man, thanks for the Steam is shit advice!

  • If you do a good game and promote it well, then yes, look for example Five Nights at Freddy's.

  • Marxally

Exporting as HTML and using Winrar is not, and has never been, the correct method for uploading to the Arcade.

You must be using the latest version of C2 - r208 - and use the 'Export to Scirra Arcade' option. This will export the appropriate .zip file for you to upload.

Holy shit, I forgot that the zip file is in the generated folder, I am so fucking stupid xD

    Thanks mate

  • I just exported it as a HTML game and used Winrar to zip it, even tried exporting for Scirra Arcade :S

    What am I doing wrong?

... will I get Construct 3 for free?

I asked Scirra via Twitter and mail, but I haven't got an answer.

  • I've been looking for this everywhere and I can't find it... help pls
