  • Just update the dummy sprite with some Y position logic when you need it to follow the player vertically as well as horizontally. You might be able find some 'follow camera' tutorials that go into greater detail.

  • It does seem to be a bug. Present when trying to change background and text colour.

    Not sure I can reproduce.

The color picker only applies the color once you click OK, there is no "Apply" button that would apply the color on the fly without having to go out of the color picker.

(at least for me, using the color picker of Windows 7 ?)

Im using Chrome on Mac and I cant see an "OK" or "Apply" button.

  • You put the scrollto on an invisible dummy sprite and use that as your 'camera' instead. Just update the dummy sprites x position to match the players.

  • Voted!

The problem is mainly that C2 games break overtime due to browser compatiblity isssues,construct2 games on newgrounds and whatnot just instantly freeze nowadays,So with scirra gradually phasing out development on c2 to work on c3,c2 will become useless

So yeah, Fusion 3 is looking batter and better, or if you are more serious and can code, Unity/Unreal are also a good (free) alternative

Or just stick with C2 which you can continue to use for free if youve already paid for it?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • mekonbekon you can use 'infinity' for the time value.

Theres nothing like being told your first suggestion already exists inside of C3...

  • I doubt I'm the only one here who would pick up a copy right now to support you, to get around the free limits.

Part of my issue is this: How are we supposed to keep submitting bugs, if we can't really test all that much? You will end up with a massive wave of reports from the bigger projects once people can sub. Wouldn't it make sense to allow a small amount of people to sub now to ease the process?

Ive already mentioned this before and think it should have been implemented. Im sure there are reasons why it wasnt. To be honest, the wait until release isnt that far off. I understand the frustration though.

  • Salty!

  • ill echo whats been said above.

So Tom are you going to do anything about the members here trying to disrupt this thread or is that your plan to use them to drive me off the website?

People are watching and they see what is going on.

    lamar

Your persistent passive-aggressive trolling to get a ban clearly isnt working for you. I do find it entertaining to watch though and would gladly pay $99 per year just to see you getting shot down time after time!

    edit: lol

  • First about the free event limitations: I understand why Scirra is limiting the events more, but I'd like to throw in an idea: What about letting users increase their event limit even more after 50 (maybe up to 75) based on their activity and usage of the product? I'm thinking about something like "Complete your profile": view a tutorial, introduce yourself in the forum, etc..

A far more easier solution would be to just accept 'early bird' paid subscriptions to unlock the event limitations at least.

  • BrandonJAwesome

You can either use a variable check and nest your event block/call a function or you can put them inside a group and enable/disable it when needed.

  • Yeah folders are a must have. Also, since theres only ever going to be a few cloud services to choose from, how about a icon menu in the cloud box itself instead of having to open a dropdown to select a service?
