• Post a cap.x if you can Bildo.

  • Hey KSLR, I think you posted the wrong cap.

Still, you just need to use the trigger once condition. Its a system command. If you dont have trigger once as a condition then it will loop over and over because leaving it blank is the same as having every tick.

  • Hey kalon, if you post a cap.x of the problem its much easier to help you out. Depending on the rest of your project it could be anything, maybe you have another action that conflicts?

  • Looks cool.

Maybe you could do something like having a condition on the blocks - that if something is placed on the first row then it is spawned on the last layer. If its spawned on the second row it will be the second last layer. And so on.

  • Hey Geo, Its not too bad.

Honestly though I cant help but feel that you are hurting yourself by releasing these games so quickly. With the way that kongregate works ( the first few votes determining whether its pushed towards the top or bottom).

I think you could make a much stronger impact if you took advantage of feedback and polished your game before sticking it on the shelf. I hope this doesnt get you down - but one game you make that gets played a lot is better than 20 that dont.

  • For the price tag its pretty cool. The only problem is I dont have any games left!

Some of you might have seen(heard) this. All of your old favourite videogame themes played in an orchestra? It was enough to bring a tear to my eye!

You might want to start from the beggining of the list. They are all Epic!

  • Nicely done, very thorough - and a good read :)

  • This is really nice pode. Well done!

Pode its really simple to use as well. I just tested it out - To get it to work properly though i needed to tinker with the example cap. I may have stumbled across a bug in the process. The buttons are on a higher layer - but when the picture flips it covers the buttons (despite being on a lower layer).

    Here is the cap.x

It still works for what im planning just thought id let you know. :)

  • Welcome to V1-6 (tute graphic prob in 1.5)

Along with fixing a couple more bugs there has been a big change to the monkey AI which I think will give fresh players a better experience (and is just more fun in general). Its still quite challenging, but now when a monkey gets close enough to grab you he will always lunge. No more suprise grenades in the face.

The monkeys also now get the wind knocked out of them when they are jumped on while sliding.

As always id love to hear what you think so dont hesistate to share your thoughts :)

  • Im happy to agree to disagree with you about Square Enix. I think they are a great company (despite what I think about the recent FF's).

But at the end of the day this has nothing to do with Square - Its about knowing that what you create is yours. Big company or small - we all deserve to have this right.

    Ain't it?

I've seen many (MANY) free a game that uses so called copyrighted material and nothing ever happened. Truth is, if the owners of the material feel like yer game it's a threat, they will ask you to stop, just like crap company Square Enix got scared of

and shut it down. If you are going to do something like this and FREE, keep it secret until it's complete and keep the testing around to a trusted circle of people. Once it's complete, release it in all it's glory and give the finger to crap corps. like SE. Just hide where it really came from.

Not ALL companies care though, believe it or not, some cool companies are actually left.

I dont think this is a very fair comment to be honest.

Saying a company is crap just because they shut down a product that was a recreation of 'their' game without 'their' permission is exactly what I would expect if i was in their shoes.

The fact that the game is really well done only makes it worse. Square makes a lot of money remaking their older games and fans are happy to play them. Chrono trigger is a classic game - worthy of a remake, but to do it without the permission of square is just silly. If they have the talent - why not make an original game?

  • Hey Mr,

Being that they are global, the variables can be changed in any (sheet) or layout as long as its done in event sheets that 'include' each other.

So.. say you have a seperate event sheet for stage 1 and an event sheet for stage 2. As long as those pages link back to a page that holds the global variables you will be fine.

To link the event sheets you need to right click on a blank area inside your sheet, then choose the include option.
