• The thing is (and that changed on the last 3-4 releases), if you click the "download" button on the main page it will direct you straight to the "downloading" page.

And finding the release notes from there is quite annoying - at least for me it was.

May I suggest a "release notes" link below the Download button on the main page? :)

• Cool game gnahz!

Very interesting mechanics!

As for the health bar, you probably need to change the sprite origin to the left-center :D

• Suggestion: Why not add a message alert (with a "don't show again" option) so the user learns that the XOR effect has limitations?

• Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
• Debugging like in CC would be great help, I think it's on the todo list, don't know how difficult it is to implement, though.

Yeah, CC Debug is a great feature! It's aimed at more advanced users, but a great help as projects become more complex.

• Hi folks!

My name is Gabriel, and I'm from Brazil. I've been around Scirra's forum and working with Construct for about 3 years now, and I've done some cool stuff with it.

I work as a game designer at a startup studio, we are making iOS games. I also have my own studio with my wife, but we are focused on video production for now.

• Wow, this is very cool!

The levels are creative and have that puzzle-on-the-run feeling. Really satisfying! Also, I laughed when I had to use the head the first time!

My damned browser crashed before I reached the end of the game (not Construct related, I guess), but I'll play it again tonight!

• Indeed.

I don't like how placid they look. Specially when you finish the level...

I want to add more animations!

• ....aaaand now I noticed The Convergence was featured in IndieGames.com

\o/

• Thanks for the replies guys!

It's nice to see everybody enjoyed it!

I want to turn it into a full game now. It'll take a while, but I guess the game has potential. But to do that I guess I'll have to wait for Ashley to implement the dynamic "Go to Layout"... *forces wink in slow motion*

Another reports:

• Page views are dropping right now, but to this date there's been 18,400 visits to the website. YAY! That number is way higher than I expected - I thought I was gonna get 200, 300 views :P
• 2 friends reported unexpected bugs, both of them were playing on a outdated version Firefox 3.6 (so I guess it's fine :P).
• Wow! So that's where the pageviews are coming!

I friend of a friend told me he posted it over there.

I'm getting lots of pageviews, mostly from over there!

Just passed the 7,5k views, really awesome for 6 hours of publishing!

That's SO AWESOME!

Gonna read all of this tomorrow, I'm waiting for dinner to be ready! :D

• The greatest challenge in this game was hiding it from my wife - which is quite difficult when you live in a 2-room apartment!

Anyway, there's still a ton of work to do! Now it will be easier because she's seen it!

I want to put a Scirra logo, add sounds, and more levels that are less annoying :P

Oh and I forgot to ask ya:

Help me spread it! I set up a special google analytics account on it so she can track how far and how many people has seen it! Please make this as huge as possible! \o/

Thanks everyone, I'm in a great mood today!

If we had a +rep system i'd give you all a thousand more! hahahaha

Really very easy to get into, and only slightly frustrating.

Not being particularly romantic, I thought the ending a bit over the top, but considering the target audience - your missus - then I'll let it pass :)

If you found it over the top you should see my previous version with particles! LOL

• Thanks guys!

Glad you liked it!

wilfryed - That was my intention, but I've seen some folks playing, and they were like "NOW WHAT?", looking at me - But I guess if I wasn't around, they'd just keep playing or smashing through every key until they found something! :P

I just published it on the Chrome Store!

Go there and download it! If you can find it... hahahaha

• Hi guys!

I was making a game to celebrate the 10 years I've been together with my (now) wife.

So I've made her a game. It's called The Convergence

http://www.currantcat.com/convergence/

Chrome Store link here:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lkiiendkaiacnmggppdckogcgmjaoapf

So far I noticed that:

• the game runs slowly on Google Chrome (using a mac - Ashley told me it was running fine on his system)
• a friend grabbed a bug where flipping the character would make him enter the platform (using Firefox, on the other browsers it was ok).

Please tell me if you think the first level was frustrating. I wanted to keep things less obvious, but maybe I need to make it more obvious...

Thanks in advance!

I hope I can improve it over time - there's lots of room for it!

• It really depends on the company.

Valve has a very friendly relationship with indie developers and their fan games. When Portal came out, there was this awesome 2d version of the game made in flash - and they let the dev publish it, without problems (the game was free). Also an iPhone game called Wormholes was released not long ago, and Valve contacted the developer and "(...) has requested I make this application free due to its close resemblance to their PC and console versions of Portal".

On the other hand, you have the whole Bethesda vs. Mojang over a single word of their branded name being used.

I guess the point is: Don't try to make money out of another person's intellectual property and you'll probably be ok, but keep in mind that what you're doing can be put down at anytime.

• You can find more about LERP:HERE

Wow, didn't know about the Move To plugin!

I have to start lurking around that section! Thanks Kyatric!
