  • I am testing the Share Screenshot function, taken from the C3 example project, it is kinda working alright, but the final result is either just sharing the Screenshot OR the given Title, and I would like to share it all, the Screenshot + Text + URL. This is what I am doing:

    So If I click share on facebook, most of the times it will load just the image (screenshot taken) and sometime just the text alone. On Instagram Direct, it never shares the image, but on stories and feed it gets the image only.

    How can I make sure everything I set will be shared, so it all makes sense for users?

    Also, sometimes when sharing a new screenshot, if the app (facebook, instagram, etc) is already open, it will keep the first image taken in memory, instead of sharing the one just taken. How can I make sure the plugin overrides a screenshot just taken and delete the one shared before in the same play session?

    Now the C3 developers have a solid ground to dig that bug out of the way.

  • NoSoul8 I'll try that "pressing E technique", I always have to Crtl+S to save, close everything and reopen.

    It only happens after launching a preview tab and trying to get back to the editor, seems like the window still "thinks" it is unfocused and should be greyed out

  • I don't know if this issue was "fixed" on the recent releases, but it is happening on r218... now even if opening the "chrome app window" it is happening, and that was a solution for me before... getting worried about it, it is haunting me again. First time it happen on the editor app, it fixed itself after switching windows/tab, but right now it just happened the bad way, when nothing is editable and everything is still "paused on unfocus" kinda of situation...

  • Hi Ashley I believe it's some thing related to how C3 receives or deals with the ads... I can play any game in my old phone, with admob ads, and they dont lag when loading... I think I'll send an email to support with a project, maybe you guys can check it if I'm doing anything very wrong... But I have followed the manual and ads are running fine, revenue is happening, but game is lagging when loading or changing ads...

    dop2000 thanks for your attention, maybe it was me, as this issue is happening for a while now... i have tried different settings, but always the same... I can play minecraft normally and my phone cannot deal with the ads without lagging....

  • You can choose the banner size on C3, when you use the Create Ad option (then you can select the size).

    When you use the Show Ad, it will show the last one you created

    Its all in the Manual, but that manual needs to be improved. Some other things are not clear...

  • Hi, I'm using the AdMob object in my game and I'm showing all ads properly, but when the ads are loading (create ad events) the game lags really bad in maybe 50% of devices... Even when only refreshing the banner ad, the whole system lags... Only mobile devices with really good memory (the newest models) are running the game 100%. I can confirm it is the AdMob events, since if I play the game on airplane mode, with no internet connection at all, the game runs alright, so it is not a problem with how the game was made...

    I have tried to get help on this before and am still having this problem. Users are leaving bad reviews on the play store and they are right, it sucks to play the game when its lagging so much.

    Again, if the internet is disabled and the admob events cant be used, the game runs fine...

    Have anyone had this problem???? Is there something I can do????

    I'm following C3 manual properly, using the right events.... There are not many options, I create the ad once, use Show Ad when the ad is ready/loaded. Ads are showing right but if the device is not top of the line, it lags...

    I dont understand how an old device can run minecraft but not run my 2d simple game with ads without lagging.... Very frustrating. If I cannot fix this, I cannot continue with new projects.

  • I can only use C3 as a desktop app from chrome, otherwise the editor will grey out and freeze once in a while. Commands like crtl+S (save) are still available.

    Could this be from an extension on chrome? I only use adblock.

    Sometimes the preview layout window fails to load the layout preview... Very sporadically...

    Just because it doesnt make sense, doesnt mean it doesnt happen.

    This bug will be identified one day.

    Wouldnt it be so great if C3 already had these or the most relevant features? I would rather pay a little more for Scirra than purchasing third-party addons...

  • Hey, C3 comes ready to use with AdMob, since it has the built-in plugin/object for AdMob ads, but what about using other AdNetworks? Is there someone here with good experience and success with other networks?

    I see for example AdColony is an option, but how can I use their sdk in C3? github.com/AdColony

    They have ready for unity but none specifically designed for C3

    AdMob is good when working properly, But Im tired of their lack of transparency... I've been getting a limit on ads being served without any warning, my revenue dropped from $10 in a day to $0.50 cents and I cant even contact their support...

    Anyone can give some details on how start using other ad networks????

  • Yes you can test it, even creating just one Banner Ad, AdMob will refresh it an if it realizes it passed too much time without a click, it will try showing a new ad. The thing is that you apparently should choose just one banner size, and I wanted to make more than one size for different layouts... It worked properly once when I was creating a new banner every start of layout, but that would lag the game and creating too many ad requests, so match rate decreases...

    We do need more solid orientation on this, to hear from successful experiences as well.

  • Both those modes use identical code, so I don't know why there would be any difference.

    The difference is when using directly in the browser (chrome) is that it uses a new tab on the same window/browser, and when opening in the "browser app" the preview mode opens a tab in a different/independent window, so the problem is probably not your code but a conflict with Chrome when using C3 and previews on the same window... the issue happens when returning from the preview tab to the editor tab, so it doesn't happen when using the "browser app" because they are not running in the same window...

    That's what we know so far...
