  • Bem legal cara, bom ver mais brasileiros nessa rea :)

Boa sorte e continue com o bom trabalho!

Pretty good man, it's nice to see more brazillians getting into this area :)

Good luck & keep up the good work!

  • I have no idea what are you guys talking about.. I downloaded it just fine.

It looks great, I really like it, but the controls are awful.. hardness in games shouldn't come from the controls, but that's just my opinion. I just wish it wasn't so hard to control, I mean, I push forward and let it go and the block will still move A LOT, keep sliding, etc..

    Anyway, it's great.

  • Whoa, this is a great plugin. Exactly what I was looking for.

I've been having some trouble understanding everything tho, is there any documentation on it? Like, I can't read a single event sheet line and fully understand what's written haha.. like the sprite "weight", I have no idea what that is supposed to be.

  • Just create a new event sheet, and then for each layout event sheet go "inlcude event sheet".

    Thank you!!

  • I'll use this thread to ask another question so I won't flood the board.

I just began programming my game properly, and I'd like to know.. is there a way to make a global group or global event sheet?

If not, should I just create one event sheet for everything in the game? Or should I create different sheets and copy the basic code to all of them?

    Thanks!

  • You could use the mask effect: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4322334/mask.cap

Thanks, that's a lot better than what I was doing (creating another backdrop and putting it in front of the waterfall).

Also thanks for the anwsers everyone!

  • Since the Construct installer downloads/installs the DirectX aug2008 (and C++ libraries) when we're installing it, couldn't you make it so the game installer does the same?

I mean, would it be viable to have an option when you're compiling the game and creating the .exe to add the DX web installer redistributable in the same package?

I usually try my game on different computers, and most of the time they don't have that exact directx installed.. and sometimes I send it to someone so they can test it, then if it doesn't work I have to send the microsoft link so they can download it, it's quite annoying.

Just wondering if that would be possible.

    Thanks!

  • I don't think so. You'd have to use sprites or fake it. What effect you wanna achieve?

I'm trying to make this waterfall stop when it collides with that platform.

  • Is there a way to destroy particles when they collide with a solid object?

  • C2 will support multi developers a lot better

    That's GREAT to hear.

At the end I decided to create a google code site and use SVN, so everything's working ok. The nly problem is that there's no lock option, se we can't lock the file while someone's working on it (stupid google code). But it's better than calling him to warn that I'll mess with the file haha.

  • This is a great idea. It's too bad that even if you limited the demo people would eventually crack it open..

I have a question, what's going to happen to the addons? Will people still be able to create those?

Maybe you could motivate people into buying the discount license by adding funcionalities? Like a little option into the editor that uses the internet to show new addons.. or maybe a special download with tutorials and guides for whoever buys it.

Also, will the 30-day demo export to HTML5 too?

    Thanks.

  • Hello,

I've been using Construct for some time, but I'm a lousy programmer, so a friend of mine decided to help me with that, and now he's programming and I'm doing the art.

The "problem" is that since we're both working on the same project, using different computers (not on a network), whenever he gets to programming done I have to copy everything I've done (level layout and such) to there and spend a lot of time re-arranging everything..

So I wanted tips from anybody that's in the same situation. What's the best way to deal with this? Should I let him program, wait for it, then have him send me the file and start doing my own thing? Or should we take turns?

Thanks for any input. Here's the very beggining of what we're doing -

If you ever read this, thanks Rich!

  • This is completely awesome, dude!! I've been making and playing Sonic fangames since 2001 and I've never seen anything like this..

Hope it ends up becoming a full game!

    Cheers!

edit : also, I hope you don't mind me asking, but how did you keep the animations so fluid? Using bones?

And how did you do that effect, when he gets the power-up?

I guess I'm newer to construct than you, hahaha "

    Thanks !
