  • Xeeko Flump it seems Ashley is trying to work on a plugin so we can have achievements and such:

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Tested NW.js 0.15.0 with Steamworks SDK 1.36, the game works and shows up as being played on Steam, but no Steam overlay. I read the thread and apparently there's still no fix for newer NW.js versions? Adding --in-process-gpu did not work unfortunately.

Edit: I got it working. It won't work if you only export, modify and run the game in any folder. You have to run it through Steam. I just went to my game's folder on Steam, deleted everything and copied the new files over and it now works.

I'd also like to know that.. even if there was a way to test it on your PC and make it run as it would on an Wii U, it would be perfect. Since Nintendo opened up the dev registration for everyone I became one, but buying a dev kit is just too expensive for me.. I haven't read anything about leasing on their site though.

  • What? It already is...

  • Hey Ashley any news on this?

  • I'm really tempted to get this but I'm waiting on the mac/linux exports, any news on them?

    Thanks!

  • Var1 = "main street"

    Var2 = "last street"

    If var1 different from var2

    trigger once while true

    do action

    set var2 to var1

  • ffman22 I'm sorry but I'm only taking paid freelance work right now. You project looks great but I have to pay my bills and I don't have enough free time for such a big project.. If you're still interested I'll gladly work on your UI as a paid freelancer. DM me if you're interested so we can talk pricing. Thanks!

Você tem que pegar o arquivo .txt que eles te enviaram e colocar na mesma pasta do Construct 2 (geralmente é "C:\Arquivos de Programas\Construct2\" mas pode ser diferente).

    OBS (Open Broadcaster Software)

People use it mostly for streaming, but you can change it in the options so it only records. It works great!

  • Hey andreyin

Thanks for the help... but I don't feel very comfortable with the idea of sharing my whole project : (

I tried to reproduce the bug in another scene but I can't do it. I will wait for the next NW.js update and see how it goes.

I meant taking a screenshot of the exact block where you made the input events. I think that in your case it could be related to them.

It's fine if you don't want to share though, no problem!

  • That's interesting.

However I don't think that is the reason because I find myself in that situation after having done a reset of my PC. I had a technical problem and I removed everything and reinstalled. But I didn't clear everything from my secondary hard drive where my project is. Although I guess NW.js was installed on the master HD so I think there musn't be any conflicts with previous NW.js installation. I actually recall having this issue just after reinstalling brand new Construct 2 and NW.js ... I will still try to reinstall though.

Thanks a lot for your feedbacks, now I know there must be something wrong on my PC or in my project.

Maybe it could be the way you've setup the events for the gamepad? A few revisions ago C2 updated a few things regarding events, like the OR syntax..

We could take a look if you want to share.

  • My game was made in NW.js 0.10 and the gamepad plugin works just fine on the latest version.

Having a lot of different NW installs on the same PC could be causing that. I had some bugs before because of that. You could try a clean reinstall of C2 and the latest NW.js...

  • Servers are pretty sturdy, so it would work just fine, but keep in mind that it's not "12 people per server" but "12 people per room on a server".

So you can have like 10 rooms with 12 people in each room, in a single server. I think this is how it works, at least.

Been out of the loop in a while, am I safe to upgrade Construct 2 with the latest plug in?

I've been out too since I was waiting on the official plugin, but I think this one only works with Windows right now.
