  • I feel unworthy posting right after a Klang screenshot

Just a WIP. Possibly the start of a Boss?

There are some rough spots, which I intend to fix

  • Love the sounds of the kitty

    Adorable!

  • I haven't tried anything yet, but you could try making buttons, then make an event that detects which buttons are pushed, corresponds the button pushes with numbers, and puts that data into an array. Then when you press "Run", you have it read the array and perform the commands accordingly. Again, this is an idea, it might work...

I'll try it out later today.

BTW if people are confused. OP is talking about a simple programming game, much like Light Bot

  • Check out this and this. And if those aren't what you're looking for, this can help more than you'd ever imagine

  • Looks good so far. But yeah, I agree with what the others said. If you're using a mouse I'd put some money into a drawing tablet. Especially for vector art. Here are some links that could help:

I personally use a Huion Tablet. It's a few years outdated, but it still serves it's purpose:

    Huion Tablets

I've heard good things about Wacom Tablets. Don't use one myself, although I know many people who could swear by them:

    Wacom Tablets

And last but not least, since everyone has a different preferred Art Software, here are a few links to help you decide:

    12 Free Design Programs

A Programmer's Guide to Creating Art for Your Game (Vector Art is the third section down)

5 Best Free Vector Graphics Editors

    Hope this helps!

  • Might want to fix your link there. The fact that you can't post clickable links yet breaks the URL. Try out this website to shorten it

  • I'll just be posting random progress here about Cube Chaos.

Cube Chaos is a 2-Player Local Multiplayer game where you fight as little cubes with big abilities in simplistic arenas. You can currently choose from 1 of 4 unique classes, each have their own weaknesses and strengths.

    Most Recent Thing Added

-Directional Arrows -Sound Effects -Classes -Screenshake -Bug Squishing

Multiplayer has been a requested feature and a first version will hopefully be available soon.

    CLASS IDEAS WANTED:

If you have any ideas for a new class, let me know below. If you find any issues with any of the current classes, whether they be too OP or UP, let me know below!

    Want to play?

    Link: PLAY

    That's all for now, Cheers!

  • Added some MUCH needed screen shake and added VERY MUCH needed arrows to the players so you can actually tell which way you're facing. I also added some sound effects to the game that you'll be able to hear once I upload the update to the Arcade.

I've been procrastinating a ton on working on Multiplayer Mode for this. I have the "beta" ready for Multiplayer, but still need to iron out a few bugs. It'll feature a very basic Rocketeer vs. Rocketeer game, so basically like the first version of Cube Chaos. (Singleplayer is also in the making as well)

I'm also looking for new class ideas! If you have any ideas for a new class I could put into the game, just PM me or quote me here. I'll probably end up making a new thread for this.

  • Downloading now, I'll come back when I've played through it a bit. Looks visually good!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • It seems like procedural animation is taking shape in Construct 2 more and more every time I see it mentioned. Nice demo!

  • I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoying playing this

The art is cute and enjoyable, the music doesn't get too annoying, the sound effects aren't too loud. You've seem to have a good base here for a potentially awesome game.

The only issue I had were the controls. Trying to switch directions quickly would be annoying at times, and the player really seemed to glide across the surface rather than run. (Because of the low acceleration speed) Also I would try and make a way to prevent the player from just running and jumping through each level, otherwise it's possible to easily gain max speed and double jump over most of the obstacles. Other then those small things, awesome demo! Keep us updated

  • Wow, for a mouse user that's pretty impressive. Usually at that scale people switch to a pad.
