  • I totally understand, its cause I don't know what some of the events actually are, makes it hard to find them and figure things out. Thank you again!

EDIT- Taking a closer look.. Its actually exactly what I did before. The exact same code with just a few cleaner changes :'D I dont know why I didnt realise that until seeing the capx

  • This looks like exactly what I need! Thank you so much! Do you have a capx for it?

  • I'm setting up a menu with WASD controls to navigate, so you go in whatever direction. I have 1 menu object with many frames (to call an event when its selected) And that menu object has 2 variables. MenuselectedRL (Right to left) and MenuSelectedUD (Up and down) ; then I have 2 global variables that are the same, its always set to the Menu objects variables. It works great! But like in many good games my menu has tabs for different things, an inventory, options, skills. I cant get this to work while on other tabs. Heres what I need to figure out-

-Get the WASD navigation to work on all tabs, not just the first. When I change tab (set a layer visible/invisable)(Some layers contain the entire tab) The navigation gets all wonky. Following the positions of the tab that opens on the start. I cant get is to navigate with the newly visible tab.

Capx- Its very messy and there are LOTS of events, if you need help finding events let me know. Don't spread screenshots or anything around cause its a game in development.

  • Problem Description

Seems that my tileset is offset. Im getting offset results when I thought it should be even, tested with more than one tileset image

    Attach a Capx

    Description of Capx

Nothing. Its just to show the results i was getting in my developing game

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    just draw with the tileset

    Observed Result

tiles dont line up, did it wiith more than one tileset so its not an uneven image, and it produced perfect results in other programs that can draw from a tileset

    Expected Result

    Have an even result

    Affected Browsers

    • Chrome: (YES/NO) Chrome was all that was tested

    Operating System and Service Pack

  • I just can't seem to get it right. Every time I try and do stuff on my own it doesn't work how I thought it would. Anybody willing to make a small edit for me to study and better understand arrays?

All I need is the same code (for an inventory system) with a few small changes. I'd need the amount you can add to be a max of one, to no longer be able to add them (stacking) in the "inventory", And to put off a boolean (true if in inventory). For some reason I cant get it right! This code will be used for a follower system, being able to add up to 3 followers.

  • It seems to be.. doing nothing. (even after changing the second event to Function.Param(0), 1) to 0, I see I made a mistake when I took the screenshot)

    EDIT:

Got it working with a little experimenting! Thank you for the help!

  • Do you have any advice on how to do so, like what events?

  • So I found a tutorial that is exactly what I was looking for when building an inventory for myself. I just need one small edit, when an object is removed, to have the objects already in the inventory fill the empty spots to the left, instead of stay where in the inventory they are. Let me know what you come up with, I don't understand arrays enough to do it.
