Array help

I just can't seem to get it right. Every time I try and do stuff on my own it doesn't work how I thought it would. Anybody willing to make a small edit for me to study and better understand arrays?

All I need is the same code (for an inventory system) with a few small changes. I'd need the amount you can add to be a max of one, to no longer be able to add them (stacking) in the "inventory", And to put off a boolean (true if in inventory). For some reason I cant get it right! This code will be used for a follower system, being able to add up to 3 followers.

Event 13 is what you use for stacking items, if you don't want that in the game then just delete event 13. Yes this then causes your other issue where it skips down and adds it to an empty slot even if it exists elsewhere in the inventory so I've added a condition in here with variable 'nope' so you can see how it toggles it and locks out the add a new item to inventory event. 'nope' resets at the start of the click event with the other variables.
