codah I agree. It would be much more useful and intuitive to select in the z order. It flashes to show you where the object is located. Which is useful when you're dealing with multiple instances close together.

It's not enough just to change sprites.

Essentially it would need you not use anything related to DragonBall. No art. No sounds, No Characters. Not to contain the text "DragonBall" in your game i.e. so your title wouldn't fly. Essentially if you use anything it is basically stealing.

So you can do it, but if it makes it big you'll probably get told to stop or get sued for damages.

delgado So officially and legally no. However, you can still do it, but like Dragonball Multiverse they take the risk that at any time they could be told to stop and remove it.

Actually officially you do need permission and are not allowed to do it. In their FAQ they say this:

In japan, fan-comics like this one, named Dôjinshi, are very popular and numerous.

Which means whoever owns the copyright can stop you at anytime. I am just making sure you are aware so IF it happens it isn't a complete surprise that you have to remove everything you worked hard to produce.

Hey guys, here is my latest work.

Project title - Paradox

Project description - Paradox is a game I am making primarily for mobile, but will also target PC and Wii U. You play a creature that awakens from status to find that it has to escape from an abandoned underground base with the automated security still active. It is a weird genre mix of puzzle, platformer and stealth. It's called paradox as I plan to do some time travel mechanics from Zone 2 and onward. Still in the early stage of development but hoping for a release in early 2015. Any feedback would be most appreciated. Thanks for watching/reading.
