  • I've had C2 for some time (( My license is "Standard" even, I bought mine for 70 dolla back in the day. )), but only now am I using it proper.

    Hi.

  • Well, I put in a fresh animation sprite, and it works now without sinking.

  • I'll write that down... it isn't a big issue with what I'm doing now, but if I want to make something bigger, it will be.

  • I'm using a default setup, and my overall project is set up to be 800x600, but I want that for my splash and title screen.

I want my game level layout to be 1200x800, but when I set that to my main settings, it sets that for EVERYTHING and it messes up my title and splash screen.

  • on moved walk

    on stopped idle

    on jumped jump

    on landed subevent

    is moving walk

    is not moving idle

I tried that, and it won't let me do an "On Landed" subevent.

What is looks like it's doing is whenever it moves, it jumps a little. o_O

  • I'll try it!

  • My intended title is going to be a Mario Bros platformer with coins, junk like that.

But I have no idea how to get the camera to scroll. I've read a couple tutorials and posts here about making overlapping blank sprites for zoning, but I don't want that, I just want a scrolling camera with a stationary hub and junk. I can always ask about the hub later.

  • Try Construct 3

  • I'm using tiles from the Open Bundle, which someone AWESOMELY linked me to earlier, and...

I will give an example. Each tile from the tile folder from the Platformer Pack is 70x70. Is there a way I can turn the entire folder into a tilemap, or at least force a grid to be 70x70 in Paint.net or GraphicsGale or something, so that I can import it easier?

  • And to help, I HAVE A YOUTUBE VIDEO. WOO.

The annotations show what I'm having problems with, mainly just keeping the animations right. I have another one, more of a testing ground, and for some reason, when he jumps and lands and whatnot in that one, it works right. However, I have it set on the same EXACT BLOODY SETTING in the one I'm working on now, and it's not working right!

Enclosed is a copy/paste of my event sheet.

  • Makes sense, what about the stuff from the rain demo? Can I copy and paste it easily? The client won't let Me.

  • I got some of the stuff from there, thanks a bunch! I don't really need sprites, but music is a must, I have a graphics designer.

  • You all know how in most games, when you start, it's "Developer Name" > "Publisher" > "Platform" > "Title".

I managed to pull the Scirra animation and Construct logo from the Ghost Shooter Rain Demo in the main client, but how do I copy just THOSE things and event sheets and stuff to a blank project? Or is there a way to set the defaut settings to well, default settings.
