  • I'm creating a cards game, the thing is that i want to create a deck and then move each card to its position, the thing is I want to move them in a fluid animation, it should be simple in CSS or js, but I have no idea how to do it in C2....

    some advises please?

    thanks.

  • Just use the Browser object's 'Request fullscreen' action. Sometimes it only works in a user-input trigger like a mouse click, touch or key press.

Hello Ashley, thanks for the quick answer, I'm Odin girlfriend, we allready tried that, you can see it here:

but doesn't work properly (on Google Chrome)

PS: I'm posting this instead of Odin, because I can write urls and he doesn't

  • Arlys, I ran your game on Chrome and IE11, they work great on both.

I think you meant "Cross Browser" support in your question. As the games are on HTML5, they will be supported on all modern browsers. You dont have to do anything. There will be slight changes based on the browser 's implementation of HTML5 rendering. Not all browsers support HTML5 the same way. This is not a game or engine flaw. Just to be safe, make sure that you use a stable C2 version for final level deployment, so any C2 bug doesn't creep in.

Good luck with your game and reach out to the community anytime for help.

Thanks Abhishan, I guess that IE10 is worse than IE11 in its html5 support, and probably the safary for windows is not a good option to text HTML5 games... For your words i guess that there are no tools to do cross browsing on c2, but if i do the things "well done" the game will work properly in all the modern browsers! So probably is something about my FF configuation (like newt said) and some dirty expresion on my event sheet.... I will check for all these

    Thanks again for you help!

  • Aside from the terrible misspelling, you need to give people something to work with other than " it doesn't work".

That would usually be a stripped down capx.

You might check to see if you have webgl enabled, as it ran with a decent frame rate on my FF28

Thanks for the advice, and sorry for my terrible english. About sharing my capx, I'm not sure how to do it, is enought to upload it and share the link?

I will check if I have webgl enabled on my FF, once again, thanks, and sorry for my english.

    regards

  • No one? at least some advice to get the game working properly on Firefox??? Please?

  • Hello mates!!

I'm working on my very firts game, still on alpha but I notice one thing: My game works fine in chrome and opera navigators, doesn't work fine in Mozilla (it lags a lot), and in IE10 it doesn't lag but doesn't show properly the graphics and doesn't play the music at all. In Saphary for windows it lags and doesn't show properly but plays the music....

there is any way I can do my game work better in all (or at least in these) navigators? what in web development is called crosbrowsing....

here is a link of my very prealpha game:

  • Wow! I felt in love with this Game!!

  • Hi

I just tryed it, well is a little like "flappy birds", don't you think? Is nice for being a first game, and its ok with the controls..

obviously if you wanna it to become a real game, you need to do something with the graphics.

In other hand........ so bad for the adfly to see the help, that actually was a blank html page....

  • Hello!

I found a solution that works for me, maybe is not the best, but by the moment it will be enought.

TheDom, by the moment I don't wan't to bother you more with this issue, but thanks for being so kind!!!

  • It's a little hard to answer without more specifics. If the movement and the animation events are triggered by the same Condition, u need to define a separate condition to trigger the animation event after.

Is the animation suppose to happen before, during, or after the move?

what behavior are you using to move the sprites?

Is the move random 100px or do you know the position the sprite will stop on in advance?

    Is the animation looping?

If I understand you correctly, and the animation is not looping, it could work like this

Some Condition > Sprite Play Animation

    Sprite On Finished>Sprite set position

On finished refers to the animation and needs to be a sub event of the initial condition.

Try to be more specific and answer the above questions and I'll try to give you a better solution.

Oh! First of all, thanks for answering!!

Second, sorry for being not as specific as the question needs, the problem is that english is not my mother language and sometimes is hard to me to find the proper words to expres some technical things, sorry, really.

I think that your answer will help me, but anyway I will try to explain my situation a little further:

this is the thing, more or less:

I have several objects that move alike, but let's focus on the player

You can only move up and down in some specific pixels (93, but let's say 100px), so when you push up, you change your Y position in yourYposition + 100, and when you push down the same but -100.

In my test game by the moment, you just "appear" 100px up or down, and what I want is that the player "moves" 100px up or down, and is important for me that it happens in just one key presion. (like if you where on a menu, and you navigate up or down between the selecting options).

In my very first thought I think about making an animation, so when you click up, you play the animation witch emulates the transition for the position change, and then make the position change somethink like

When CLICK UP ->Player animation "up"

    Player move on angle 270 - 100px.

    But it doesn't work properly....

Now I will try what you answered me and let you know about the result

regards, and many many thanks you!!

  • Hello I'm doing my very first game and i have a problem:

I have a key event that makes some objects changing positions (100px in Y or X, for example) but they do it in one tic, and I wanna animate the change, I tried to put an animation so on the key event firts play the animation and then change the position, but then my objects firsts made the change position and then the animation or vyceversa, and allways with a ugly "jump" effect....

anyone knows what could I do?

    thanks
