  • Awesome stuff especially for a first project. You would puke if you saw my first game.

  • Just a friendly suggestion since I did not see this in the shortcut keys list. I know you can shift+click a point in the sprite to set all frames in the animation with the same origin point location. You can also use number-pad keys to move the origin point around, but just for the current frame. I suggest adding a mix of these 2 auto features of origin points by adding a shift+numberpad key combo to auto-set all frames of the animation to a specific location as well. For example shift+7 would move all frames' origin point to top left...shift+5 would move them all to center. I'm working a lot with origin points at the moment and it would have been a great extra time saver. Thanks for reading!

  • I just read in depth the instructions I got from Intel yesterday (I was away from my desk) :

The solution is not fully automated yet, it still requires adding and editing intelxdk.config.additions.xml file manually. I believe that as soon as the automated workflow is completed, Intel will publish instructions.

    Awesome, thanks for the info.

  • Really! AWesomeee, but I can't seem to find the plugin info. Please provide link for all of us. Thanks!

  • Hi there Ashley, you were awesome on the C2 podcast. Any news from Intel about implementing APK Expansion files?

  • Ashley and Tom work hard on not only Construct 2 but something just as magical...

    https://www.scirra.com/manual/1/construct-2

...and if you type "Local Variable" to search in the Manual you get ....

    https://www.scirra.com/manual/83/variables

...and if you scroll down to where it says "Static and constant variables" you get...

"By default, local variables reset to their initial value whenever entering their scope (usually every tick), like local variables in programming languages. If the variable is marked static in the Event Variable dialog it will persist its value permanently, like a global variable."

    Good luck. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":-)" title="Smile">

  • I don't buy this whole thread. You said...."the simplest game you will ever see"...Haha, with Construct 2 you can make that yourself in like 5 minutes then. Take care.

  • I noticed that a group name list shows up when in the appropriate field and you type ". I have set up tags for certain important effects and music in my game just now and thought it would be awesome for tags to show up after typing " in the tag field just like group names. Thanks for reading and sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I will move if needed. Thanks.

  • Also, don't forget that Intel XDK signs your app for you if you want, just lick "Signed" under the appropriate tab in "Build Settings".

  • Check if you have Intel XDK version 1621 released on December 18th.

  • Yes, just as you said. One thing...I had to downloaded "Win64 OpenSSL v1.0.1j". Check to make sure if you have 32bit or 64bit system and download appropriate file. After I published new apk the alert went away for me in under an hour, though it could take as much as 5 for some so be patient.
