  • Swingy Angie just got major overhaul.

    Changes:

    • Now you can actually WIN the game! Not saying you will, but it's an option

    also:

    • updated graphics
    • additional sounds
    • new score counter
  • Cocoonjs or Intel XDK Crosswalk which one of them u used and what was the layout and window resolution ??

    I used Crosswalk.

Mainly because they say that we should be using it Also it's very simple.

Window resolution is 480x760 and layout is 520x1280.

By the way. Swingy Angie got rejected from SlideMe store. Apparently they're banning all swing copters clones:

    [quote:57ypypro]*INADEQUATE CONTENT OR FUNCTIONALITY:

Due to the overwhelming volume of Swing Copters clones or similar games being

submitted to our store through our free developer registration, we are not

currently publishing or approving such application submissions at this time.

SlideME is a curated store, which means our New Release feed is hand-selected

for a variety of applications; and we do not flood it with similar or

repetitive content in any automated fashion.

Google Play and Opera Store. I'm waiting for approval on three other appstores.

  • Same here. Sorry about that.

  • What fredclips said

I might actually give it a shot.

  • An infinite runner with renewable Health Points and weird enemies.

    Mechanically it's already quite advanced.

In terms of graphics still quite a lot to do but I make all the graphics myself,

so I got that goin' for me, which is nice

Onscreen controls are Kenney's placeholders until I make my own ones

(they are to be resource indicators as well).

  • When I mean no combat I mean no fighting, not even jumping on enemies or using traps to kill them. No killing but I think it would be OK if the player fell down the pit or something.

Now that I think of it one option would be to have enemies and some limited fighting in order to "heal" them, like they did in "Sailor Moon" (the only example that comes to mind).

  • So, I've been thinking recently about making a non-violent platformer without combat. So far the only ideas that come to mind seem to be platform based adventure / puzzle games. Should the player collect something? Should the challenge be in level design and getting to places? How to reward the player and for what?

  • Mostly soundtracks from Spotify.

If I know what I want to do and I know how to do it, I listen to more upbeat things like Modern Warfare 2 & 3 or some Marvel movies' OSTs.

When I'm trying to figure out what do I really want to achieve with some functionality or mechanics it's Mass Effect 1 & 2 or anything by Austin Wintory (Journey, Banner Saga, Horn).

And when I'm making vector graphics I switch on Netflix and have some Stargate SG-1 in the background.

  • Try Construct 3

  • It looks great. What software are you using for graphics?

  • Beautiful graphics, nice gameplay. You should port it to mobile devices. I'd play that on the bus

    (edit)

I actually played some more on Nexus 7 and it's even better on a touch screen.

I do have a technical question about a thing that I cannot solve on my own in my project. Can I PM you about it?
