  • Congratulations!! Doesn't it feel great?

  • That was a nice fight

  • Beautiful drawing there! How is the game itself coming along?

  • Some pixels have differents size!

Meh.. That is kind of half required. Back in the day designers often didn't create sprites for near and far separate. They just zoomed. Yeah, it looks a bit messy but that is how it was

  • Actually, it is just perfect as it is! Graphics are coherent throughout. It is actually challenging too. I was worried that the backgrounds would be somewhat distracting but they do just great. Yellow is a bit strong. That you could tone down a bit.

I got an other super challenge idea for you. Rotating walls

  • I'm no game dev but an artist all the same. For you, it is important to get something out into the public. Creating a bunch of small games gives you a chance to focus on a small collection of techniques and practices that you can later use in a bigger context.

    Using Pong as an example:

1 Create your version of Pong for 1 player (or two) = learn simple physics

2 Create a bombing game in the spirit of Angry Birds and alternatives = take physics further in an advanced 2D environment with a bit more happening

3 Combine the two into a game where two players are bombing each other. One shoots to destroy the other and the other executes a defending maneuver.

That is how it goes It is like a puzzle. Learn a thing here and a thing here and combine. Then repeat. For you right now it is just important to get something out. It will be a BIG boost for you. There are people around you who can help you with sounds and graphics both for free and for money if you are concerned of your skills in those areas.

    Good luck out there!

  • This looks good. This looks really good. There is a nice atmosphere in the environment. Are you planning on designing several versions of trees/plants/rocks or will you be just rotating them for visual variation?

Oh! And isn't the fireplace for cooking a bit far away from the cabin?

  • That is a pretty good collection of ships! You can always add ships with later updates/expansions if you want to.

  • Thanks! Well, so far I have just a endless survival mode planned with global highscores. I would like to add story elements to it that people can unlock as they progress further into the game - i'm not 100% set on how that will work yet tho.

Sounds cool! Was just thinking since the platform you have/are building has rather many possibilities But an endless survival is a good one to start with. From there it is easier to expand.

  • This looks just plain beautiful! Great concept, I used to play something similar on one of my old phones. Such great time killer!

  • You sure are talented with 3D! That ?boss? does look pretty mean. When will there be a playable demo/game?
