  • delete the offline.appcache file or increase the version number of your game everytime you export, chrome is smart it gets the information that the game didnt change from that file so it doesnt reload your game

  • you will find it in the "Projects" tab under the "Build" options

  • with Intel XDK it is very simple, you just have to check a "Signed" box

    thanks for your kind words but i have to admit, its not really my first game, its only the first one i released by myself on the play store, but i dont have many made yet, only 9 that got finished by now (they arent really worth showing ^^)

  • fldr sounds like a bug with preloading. I would report it as a bug. At least if it isnt a bug you'll get some instruction of what is wrong.

    im pretty sure the answer will be something like "sounds like an bug in XDK..."

    because in html5 export it works in every browser and even in xdk it works with the crosswalk option

    that are all good points you mentioned, youre totally wright with the ads and kids game, i just implemented it so i could test how to do it, but i already blocked most adult content, there should be no flirting, religion, sex, drugs, politics etc., did you see such adds?

    for the sound, the game already has sound but the apk build option i choose doesnt play them :/

    im pretty sure the add's (the preloading of them) are responsible for the lagging, that game it self, without adds and complied to apk normally runs perfect on the cheapest devices i could get my hands on

  • i tested the xdk export options since two days, the cordova "Android" option produces very small apk's and they run smooth, however i encountered a bug regarding sounds, if in construct "preload sounds" in project properties is set to "yes" the apk will hang at preloading the sounds and never start, if set to "no" the game loads and runs but no sound is playing (the same project build with crosswalk doesnt hang on the preload part and it plays sounds even if "preload sounds" is set to no.).

    i played around with enabling and disabling cordova plugins but none of that worked.

    Is there maybe an external plugin that fixes that?

    i made a little test capx where a sprite is set visible if something is played, in the resulting apk it does show this sprite for a short moment(not long enough for the sound to finish) once

    didnt find anything in the xdk, i made a work around that uses a sprite in game "on touched sprite->Browser-close" but thats not really cool

  • maybe you forgot to increase the buildnumber with every apk you upload? in my case it told me to upload a real apk file and only sometimes the real reason which was the buildnumber

    I saved space by deleting my Media and Images file before exporting. That way, if I had any assets that i didnt need anymore, they weren't taking up space. Not sure if this will help you though :/

    Thanks! but that doesnt really help, my game is really cleaned up and the pngs cant be more compressed

    i found out that the "normal" Android build only takes about 2MB and runs exactly the same speed as the crosswalk build does for this game, hurray!

  • just wanted to ask how youre experiences so far are with the new admob plugin?

    for me it works on an Nexus7 Tablet, delay for showing adds is like 5-10 seconds for the banners and 7-10 seconds for the fullscreen add (sometimes it doesnt show)

    but the same build doesnt show any adds on an older Sony Xperia Ray :/
