  • Can you try the repeat event? for example if you want 5 enemies you can use an index from 1 to 5 and have the actions set to spawn the enemies, for different enemies, maybe you can have different enemies on the same sprite but under different animations, when created based on a certain condition Play animation "name" from beginning.

    I dont know if this would work but inside my head it sounds reasonable =0)

  • I was able to release an app on google Playstore with Admob integrated ad it is flawlessly working, why to go to eclipse of cocoonjs is the final step?

    This is the tutorial I "Carefully" followed and it worked fine.

  • Cant you Create frames that end up with a pattern? The Last frame should reach a state that is just before the first frame, and set to loop.

    Or, you can fadeout the flakes gradually and create new ones before complete fadeout.

    These are just my ideas, I dont think with the way the sprite is made it can loop flawlessly unless you create the frames for that.

  • I made a breakout game based on the tutorial (Cloning the Classics"Breakout"), game is working flawless, levels and scores and everything, problem is when trying on android, it has high draw calls and drains battery usage fast, on lower or even medium end phones it stutters as if the phone is chocking, any advice on lowering collision detection and draw calls?

    All Levels are arranged in someowhat similar way but the number of crates varies.

  • Thank you very much, I actually used the 3 mentioned ways above for different parts of the game and now it is finally a complete level system Every time I think i reached a convenient level in C2, I notice that there is more possibilities and much more to learn.

    I am almost done with my game, just stumbled upon something i cannot figure out. My game is 72 levels, I would like to avoid having too many events for the "Next Level" button. I have named the layouts from 0-72, and I tried

    On Button Clicked ----> Got to Layout "Layout.Name+1"

    obviously it is not working, is there any way for this to happen?

  • Start with something simple and quick, My first game took me 3 months to make, it was a big game compared to my beginner skills, when I finished the game I had learned alot and noticed that there are alot of events that I could've done in much more efficient ways, it was too heavy to be playable, so it took me another month remaking the game in a more efficient way until I was able to release it without draining batteries or killing RAM.

    This way alos your big Idea game will turn out better when you have better skills.

  • You should check the tutorial for the platformer, it has something similar to what you are doing, when player hits enemy, player bounces to the opposite direction, now you can change your direction based on your events to whenever you want, the tutorial is simple and very helpful.
