  • Hello!

I'm trying to access the main audio volume of the device on which I'm testing my app (Android or PC). But for now, I just managed to change the actual volume level to itself, or 0.

    I have this:

And the code looks like this:

-2 is actually -20, to follow the popup tip. And 45 is 450, the width of my black line, the volumeBG.

For example on Windows 10, the sound volume still stays at 6, not matter what I specify in Construct.

Is there something I didn't find?

  • Hello!

I was searching for some quick visuals for the effects, but as I didn't find what I wanted, I made one myself. I thought some might find it useful.

    Big version here:

  • Thanks a lot, all of those are perfect examples!

I totally forgot about the Timer behavior which could be some great help.

  • Hello!

I'm having some spawning issues. I can't find a way to properly spawn my ennemies.

What I have is several spawning points. On start of the layout, I assign a number per spawning point. What I want is when an enemy has spawn, I want this spawning point to be off. That's why I have a variable "isBusy".

I tried different methods, but I didn't manage to have something good. I'm a bit lost with the picking process. Do you have an idea?

  • Hello!

    I'm using C3 r89.

I saw that revolute joint can have some rotation limits using "Create limited revolute joint", which is cool.

What about distant joints? Here my example, let's say it's an arm. I wish I can constraint the rotation somehow, so the elbow won't go the wrong way, breaking the arm.

Test it there. Drag drop the blue hand.

At first, I thought I could calculate some angle, then managing some positionning for the hand, but I was unable to come to a conclusion. Or maybe that's not the way...

    Any ideas?

  • Hello!

I'm under the last version of Construct 3.

Here's what's I like to do. I have a big layout, separate into 4 scenes. I'd like to slide from one to another using the touch functionnality. And I'd like, if I release my finger, that the scene automatically moves to perfectly takes the whole width of my phone.

It's a very common gesture on mobile, but I don't see where to start. Do I need to use Drag and Drop?

EDIT: oops, I was aiming for the "How do I..." section, can some moderator help me with his?

EDIT 2: found this tutorial, I missed the word 'swipe' in my research. It does exactely what I wanted.

  • Oh ok. So my solution could be the right one. To duplicate the content into a real Text field.

  • Hello,

    I'm under Construct 2 Release 244.

Everything's in the title. Once I make my screenshot, the text is not printed. Why?

At first, I was using a webfont, I thought it was related to this, but then, no webfont used, and still no text in the screenshot.

    Here's the code I'm using:

Here you can see by yourself:

    Test Screenshot + textbox

EDIT : the only "trick" I see for now is when I take the screenshot, I duplicate the content of my textbox into a new text object. But it's a bit a "patch-up job".
