  • Thanks for posting this, the apparent limits of Construct 2 are the only thing really holding me back at this point :)

Are there, besides the blog article, any golden rules I should pay attention to?

  • Hi,

I'm looking into making a demo/prototype of a game concept, and I was wondering if anyone had come across a tutorial or guide to making a turnbased hex game?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Very nice and enjoyable game :)

Maybe reduce the amount of platforms after every x amount of height, to scale up the difficulty a bit?

  • 1. The artwork is the best I've seen so far around here, kudos!

    2. Loads quite slowly, but I assume that's just the awesomeness of point 1 that's coming through.

    3. The controls are uncoventional on pc: pretty easy to understand, hard to actually master.

    4. The difficulty ramps up massively, try and balance it out a bit.

    5. Despite the overall aweome graphics, change the orb that's fired every x seconds to something a bit less clich.

Overall awesome game, looking forward to future releaes!

  • As long as you're a non-commercial indie, I wouldn't worry too much about patents and copyrights, the worst they'll do is send you a Cease & Desist ;)

  • I tried this in Google Chrome, and it messes up the lay-out of your game I think, since the timer, option button, etc. were scattered all over the place along with the jigsaw pieces.

Looks like a solid game, but it runs quite slow in my browser for some reason.

I hope this was helpful and keep up the good work!

  • I've seen the idea before, but as it's an example and you're new, I'll focus on other stuff ;)

First of all, try and get everything in English: as far as I know, most of the people here don't speak Russian (sorry if that's wrong, not trying to offend anyone, it's a guess :) ) and it'll help getting you more feedback.

Second, try and find more basic artwork: fotorealism may seem like a good idea, but it'll make everything just a bit more cluttered than you'd want it at this point.

Looking forward to future releases, keep up the good work!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Not a bad game, although it does feel like a SMB knockoff at this point.

Looking forward to following releases and I'm curious to see some new, innovative game mechanics :)

  • Looks great, although I do find the lack of doors and entrances disturbing (but that's just a pet peeve of mine I have with 90% of all futuristic building models ;) )

    Keep up the good work!

  • Hello everyone,

I'm a 22 year old Belgian, and since I'm finishing my studies (which have nothing to do with game development) and I'd like to become somewhat involved in it, I downloaded Construct 2 and joined up here.

I've got a vivid imagination, a ton of experience when it comes to playing games (from COD to Little Inferno, sort of speak) and hopefully, I can get a couple of my ideas out of my head and into 1's and 0's.

If there's anything I can help you with, if you have any questions or if you'd like to tell me something (correct my mistakes probably is the correct phrase), feel free to shoot me a pm!
