  • Yes it is... Can you show us an example of the kind of menu and scrolling you want?

  • What kind of triangle? Equilateral?

If that's the case, search no more.

  • Oh, forget it you forgot to set unbound scrolling to on.

Let's see... When you set the "scroll to" behavior to an object it will always be centered on screen. There are many ways to give this scroll an offset, but in order to explain better I need more detail on the expected behavior. Do you want the camera to be scrolled to a fixed offset in relation to your character? Or will it be dynamic, like, it starts with an offset, but then it centers on the character?

  • When I start your sample here, objects are displaying exactly as we see them in the layout editor... can't see the problem.

  • Oh, I see... There's no way to color blocks of text in a text Object. I would love to see an update that included reading a text object content as basic html...

Anyway, you could try a middle point. The drag method I explained might be used with several text objects. If you want to make it easy, just use several instances of the same text object. You can still refer to then individually by UID and the action to drag would affect them all.

Here's a .capx (I removed the controls to stop dragging at the beginning and end of the text):

  • Yeah. I think I made it work. I added buttons to the menu, so you can start playing any level.

The result shown is the sum of both highscores.

    Here's the capx: http://examples.gamesintheattic.com/score.capx

  • I get it. The problem I saw on your capx when I took a look at it was that you only had one variable. I'll edit it and send it back.

  • Added controls similar to your example to R0J0hound 's example...

    Here's the .capx:

  • Do not try and bend the object. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.

    There is no object.

You'll see, that it is not the object that bends, it is only yourself.

    ...

    Now, seriously...

You can achieve a "similar" effect using two sprites and joining them at the base of the ball. You should check R0J0hound 's example in this topic:

  • When I have a break here at the studio, I'll take a look.

  • The only solution I can think of in a first moment is to substitute the big object by many smaller object and check collision with them instead. Remember to disable collision for the objects that are inside the big object to improve performance and only enable collision when they are exposed.

Anyway, I'll give some thinking to the issue and see if I can find a more ellegant solution, echolink!

By the way, which plugin are you using for the mask?
