  • Is the 'prompt text input' a new feature of Construct or Cocoon? I asked a couple of days ago about something like that and ended up building my own keyboard with sprites :/

  • I agree that CocoonJS is easier and seems much better at this stage but I still need the WebGL support which would enable layout by layout texture loading. I even recieved a newsletter stating that the new version would be available at the end of May but nothing happened. I tryed to contact ludei on the matter over twitter and email and I'm still waiting for a response.

  • I made some text with sprites by making evey letter a frame of animation. It works great. But what I want to do now is make the newly created SpriteText follow a sprite on the screen. Is there a way to achieve that? I tried with set position on every tick and pin the text to my sprite but it doesn't work. I can make the normal text follow the sprite but not the SpriteText.

  • GeometriX thank you. Solved it with mid(Display.Text,0,9). Not sure if it's the best way to do it, but it works just fine :)

  • GeometriX one last question. Is there any way to delimit the text length? Let's say I want the used to be able only to type words up to 10 letters.

  • GeometriX thank you so much for this! It's just what I've been looking for. But one thing here. When I run the layout it works fine in firefox but chrome gives me just a black screen. Do you have any idea why could that be?

  • Hi there. I'm trying to build a layout where the player can insert his nickname which would show on the HUD during the game: Player: PlayerName. I will have to use sprites since cocoonjs doesn't seem to work with fonts. But how do I build some kind of input field since it also doesn't support Textbox? Is there any way to achieve this or some kind of workaround?

    It should be something that works with cocoonjs and iOS. thank you.

  • Hi there. I'm trying to use touch controls to make my sprite rotate to an angle wait for 2 seconds and then return back to 0.

    I'm having two problems with that.

    The first one is that the object rotates only while i keep touching the btn. If I release the touch, the rotation stops and I want it to keep rotating. Basically now it works "on touching" and I need it to work on "touched" (if I understand it right).

    The second problem is that with the current setup, once it's done rotating in one direction is starts to behave strangely (shaking) before starting to rotate back. Any help?
