  • plinkie Suggested right. In 8-direction there's no disabling of solid collusion. It can be disabled only if 8-direction disabled. Also in case of manual movement like "Move at Angle", "Sprite.X+10" collusion won't work.

When dealing with collusion and having some issues always recheck:

    *Make sure Solid "enabled"

*Make sure collusion with Solid objects enabled in Behavior you use for moving object

*Check collision polygons (in left-bottom of image editor) both of moving object and solid. It may be not be the reason of objects not colliding, but often reason of incorrect collusion. So don't forget always to check this one if something wrong.

Also making moving object to rotate towards mouse if that's the one that should collide with solid is not a good solution.

It's better to use invisible object for collusion with solid and visible object for everything else set to be in same position as invisible one.

  • Well if your program will be more like thing we had in Construct Classic I would be more than glad to purchase it! Best of luck.

  • InvokeDownload works perfect and can save *png.

Why would you need to use anything else?

  • Don't think I follow what you mean then. If you don't want him to move freely then just return everything from my first reply.

  • It's not something you do when beginning with game developing. It will take a lot to understand the process if that's your very first experience.

I can only give you a tip that if you want one object (enemy sprite) to have different actions that would depend on his own condition and interaction with the player you should use "For each" condition (In system) often in combination with the unique identification variable for each enemy (If your enemy build of few sprites for example).

  • Same. Delete all scrolling, but now create event "Scroll to object" and set it to hero.

  • There's no map function or any analogue to it in C2 as far as I remember.

But If your health is on the bar and you want it to represent current percents there's good & easy formula for it

    (235/100)*Hero.Health [/code:3jermzim] Where "235" - width of health bar
  • Try running your game on any other computer with lower specs.

I can't vouch for Xbox One performance as haven't got to test any game there, but can say that far more often it's we developers who are to blame for poor performance.

  • Hi. First of all disable all scrolling you already have if any.

Create event "Scroll to X" (in the System) and set it to "scrollx+0.01" (you can change the last parameter to control speed of scrolling)

Don't forget to add "Scroll to Y" as well and set it to "Player.Y" (so screen would follow him when he falls or jumps)

  • I'm completely with you on what's to "shovelware" part.

I know most of those pretend to be indie-developers, but they're not true indie. True Indie is all about expression!

Expressing yourself without giving a damn about what the world will think of you or how much you will earn because of it if at all. That's the only freedom man can achieve in this life.

I don't say of course that Indie should be low-quality. For example I just can't help myself when I make games too simple or leaving gameplay part somewhere behind for the sake of my hidden point - I just delete project no matter how long I worked on it. As even being in passion to express something I can't finish the project that doesn't seems to me as good playable game.

In 2011 I was a child that started to use Construct Classic and made games in my region back when it wasn't popular. I developed and released some shitty games without any thought of expressing anything. Just for fun.

I have purchased Construct 2 in early 2014 and since then I haven't finished any game. It's all my self-searching ;(

There's no regret of purchasing C2 as it helped me develop my skills, understand myself and finally get to the project that I believe is the most important for me. So even if I won't finish this one on Construct 3 because of engine's limitation (probably on export part as really interested in consoles) I still will be able to transport all I have done to any other engine. Unreal is the best engine for me to move if necessary as there's certainly no need to stay on one position with Game Maker, Stencyl and etk. My project won't be any better on any of those and so won't I.

I say let's give Construct 3 a year. We have to pay 50 dollars only for this try. Construct 2 for it's first time was rather ugly for me after Construct Classic.

  • matriax

I've uploaded it to my dropbox

  • Thank you very much for .capx and kind words!

Hope it can work with other my features which can be tricky sometimes.

As I said my project is huge and sometimes I'm not sure that I can creature all things.

If I'm successful in half of the year or so I'll start taking someone for paid work. That of course if my main work goes OK and I can afford such investment.

Especially programmer is of my interest. So maybe your knowledge is not perfect, but it is sure as hell better than mine.
