  • Resizing action itself takes up GPU a little bit, so resizing the sprite on every tick is not that good. But in this case, it seems that doesn't matter. It doesn't have something with the power of 2.

  • Give it a try the option "Clear Background".

  • Give the sprite the "rotate" behavior(Disable at initial, set the speed you want)

and a instance variable(let's call it 'anglePrev')

    Your condition > anglePrev = sprite.angle / Enable rotate

Sprite.angle=anglePrev+90, Trigger Once > Disable rotate

  • CocoonJS : the best solution for now, but still has some bugs and doesn't support some features.

Crosswalk : not a complete tech but it's improving very fast. I think it gonna be the best solution for Android.

  • Back to the basics. Super-duper features are nice, but

Make basic features - Ad, GameCenter, IAP, etc - work surely on every platform first.

I think that's the real value of HTML5.

shaircast: could I get the crash log via 'adb logcat' and which crosswalk version are you using? This can help us root cause them.

I'm trying to. Just downloaded " Error Log Dump" but nothing shows up when the game crashes. Can you let me know how to use it?

  • Thanks. I just tested with Beta version. The volume control of the sounds are fine, but there's a little lag before its playing(not on exact timing), and the game easily crashes.

  • Just finished test on LG-F240L. I can see many things are improved. Now sounds are played out of speakers, not earpiece

Music is now fixed. It works properly at least for my game. However, sound is not fixed(You know, there're 2 folders in C2 project, one is "Music" and the other is "Sound"). Sound still ignores volume setting in the event sheet, and just played so loudly. Also, it cannot be controlled by the volume button of the device.

Tilt : OK. Touch : OK. Performance : OK.

Wow. I'm really eager to see the advance of the Crosswalk... things like adMob, Google Play Services, etc.

  • Personally, I had totally no idea about HTML5 technology and its state, and still I don't want to know about that. I just wanted to make some game apps for my friends. I bought C2 for some silly reasons : I'm used to making maps with Blizzard map editor(similar with event sheet system), the community was nice, it was on sale, the design of the website was cool, and that cool website said "You can export your game in mobile. Android, IOS, etc, but you only pay once." After purchase, I come to know that exporting for the mobiles is not that easy thing. Bugs and fps drops were everywhere.

A year passed after purchase, and still I didn't learn how to code, but thanks to community, I learned many tips. There's STILL many hard things with mobile exporting, but I don't regret my choice for some glitches about those performance/exporting issues, because it's just for my hobby.

  • I just made this minimalistic puzzle game in a week.

Rules are simple but it's quite brainteasing.

    Why don't you try?

    - Play on Web browser

    - Available on Google Play Store

  • Same here, I tried Crosswalk for the first time. In my case, it was a little bit buggy but great. It works really smoothly and supports Clay.io perfectly

    And yongsheng , here's a problem list.

    1. My app is not that a big project. However, the size of APK file is almost 18mb, while CocoonJS version is about 10MB(10MB, that's also big size though.)

    2. No Ads support(you know)

    3. Audio is more buggy than I expected. It's too much delayed from the exact timing, and totally ignores volume settings.

    4. When I open URL like "http://play.google.com/blabla", it opens "in the app(not on the default browser of the device)" as desktop version and I can't go back to my game.

  • I didn't get to use Crosswalk because of the limitations which the tutorial says, like Audio, orientation, status bar, no Ad issues. However it looks like Intel guys works really hard on these issues. I wanna test my app and help them.

Can you let me know what's solved and unsolved?
