I tested your project and I got same error message as you.

So I did create new xdk project (Start with a Blank Project), and the build was success

Did you do "Start with a Blank Project" ?

Thanks cranberrygame for confirming my symptoms. I guess I'm not going crazy... yet.

Yes, I did create a new XDK project and imported from an 'Android' export using your Construct 2 'example_phonegapiap_requires android application license key'.

I know that you have 4 other Construct 2 Demo Projects. Does it matter which one I use?

Also, should I use the Construct 2 'Android' export (versus a Phonegap export, etc.)?

Maybe there's something wrong with my 3rd Party Plugin in Intel XDK that I obtained from your README:

Again thanks for your time. Jason

    Hi,

I downloaded your zip and can't import in XDK tool.

So I create one crosswalk project and buid successfully.

Some times, github connection is very slow.

I think it's temporary problem because of github slow connection.

Hi CranberryGame... I apologize for bothering you like this, yet my students and I still are still 'pulling our hair out' in resolving our 'Build Error: Unable to build. Please verify that you are connected to the internet and try again. Object reference not set to an instance of an object'. I sense its probably a human error on my side, rather than an internet Github glitch.

In recreating our symptoms, you're right that 'Import' will not work on my attached project. Yet, what seems to work is "OPEN AN INTEL XDK PROJECT" using our attached 'example_phonegapiap_requires_android_application_license_key.xdk'.

And with your expertise, you could find out what's wrong with our XDK setup. (Assuming it's something simple that we're overlooking.

If the above troubleshooting suggestion does not work, then is it possible that you could send us an XDK project that does work, using your IAP plugin? I can try to compare your files against mine to help identify my bug. Or maybe there's another suggestion that you recommend for our situation.

Also, feel free to check out our current student project play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... antMadness . Your constructive feedback (as well as helpful feedback from others) would be much appreciated.

Thanks again in advance for your time. Jason (Coach Jay)

  • Hi I appreciate your IAP-Plugin and your Construct2 demo 'example_phonegapiap_requires android application license key' that I'm trying with the Intel-Xdk-Crosswalk-Android.

I've tried to follow your helpful README, but I'm running into a weird problem when building 'Crosswalk with Android'. I get the following Build Error: 'Unable to build. Please verify that you are connected to the internet and try again. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'

I don't believe it's an internet issue since I'm able to build another project successfully. I need your help in understanding: 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'. For your further diagnosis, I've attached my Intel-Xdk-Project.

By the way, my Jr. & Sr. High students are excited about using your IAP plug-in for our class project. Thanks in advance...

Thanks cranberrygame for the kind reply. The sale sounds like a great deal. :)

So is your IAP for Crosswalk-Android users better (different) than the Scirra Official Version? Or will Scirra improve on their version soon (i.e. instruct where to insert 'billing key' as volkiller730 noted), so I should just wait for Scirra's version to catch up?

Also, I'm open to other ad alternatives than AdMob. How reliable/easy-to-use is LeadBolt for Crosswalk-Android? Does LeadBolt's future look promising or will it become obsolete soon? (Prefer to not invest in something new that might not last long. ;) By the way, Is it included in the full-package, or do I need to pay for it individually?

Again, thanks in advance... :) Jason

Hi cranberrygame, just bought your full package several hours ago. :) Where and when should I receive something? Do I really need to wait for 24 hours or so? Thanks in advance. :)

    HI,

Phonegap Admob and Phonegap IAP plugins are only included in full package.

    Now, on 64% sale ==> $9

All plugins' install instruction is in doc/readme.txt's install phonegap plugin section.

    IAP plugins' install instruction, too.

    Try it. (Not so difficult)

    Thanks

  • Hello All...

Is there an 'All-in-One' Tutorial to cover In-App Purchase (IAP) on Google-Play (Android) using Crosswalk Intel XDK?

Kindof like the tutorial: "In-App Purchase on Google Play (Android) using CocoonJS" (https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/645/in-app-purchase-on-google-play-android-using-cocoonjs/page-1).

The basic manual: "IAP object" (https://www.scirra.com/manual/173/iap) is a great start, but I miss a step-by-step Tutorial for Construct2 programming. Also, a working .capx for demo purposes would be bonus. ;)

And on the export side using Crosswalk Intel XDK, I need help regarding adding a 'billing key' to my project as requested on the Intel's Website: "IAP in the Intel® XDK" (https://software.intel.com/en-us/html5/articles/iap-in-intel-xdk).

I teach "GameON Programming" to both Middle School and High School students, and we're excited about using Construct 2.

    Thanks in advance... :) Jason

  • thanks for making your IAP an admob plugins free i will definitely donate/buy you stuff once i get them up and running

H volkiller730, where you find the free IAP and Admob plugins (both from Cranberrygame, I assume). If they work out well, I'll be happy to donate also. Thanks in advance... :)

I am interested only in the IAP & AdMob plugins just like SilverForce, could you cut me the same deal?

    Thank you!

I'm interested in your IAP, since I'm having difficulty with Construct 2's official IAP plugin with Crosswalk. Is there a way to but it individually? I couldn't find it listed anywhere. Will there also be a tutorial on using it?

    Thanks in advance... :)

  • Hi Ashley and RamPackWobble... thanks so much for each of your prompt help (wow, including a post from the founder .

After your confirmation that there are no issues with r163, I downloaded r163 and discovered that the "bug" is on my end.

My problem was that my instance variables names were becoming too long (i.e. 70 letters or more), and thus pushed the "values" and "eye icon" off to the right and thus became cropped off, especially under a three-column format. But once I resized my Chrome window to be single-column format, the "values" and "eye icon" reappeared, successfully! Yeah, it works! (Now, I might need to consider shortening my variable names.

My Middle/High School Students and I thank you both soooo... much.

    Special regards... Jason

  • Hi All... How can I use the debugger to show values of all the instance variables? Via the debugger, I can view the values of the objects' properties. But when looking at the objects' instance variables, the values are blank ~ nothing to view nor to change. Also, there's no "eye icon" to "watch" such variable. I noticed that some objects do have instance variables showing their values, but this has become a rare situation rather than the norm.

I am using Release 152 (yes, an old version) with Chrome on Windows 7. Your help will be much appreciated, as I use Construct 2 to teach game programming to to both Middle and High School students. Thanks in advance. Regards... Jason
