  • I have also had problems with this. On what platform do you get this error?

    It works fine on HTML 5, but when it is exported to Android or iOS I have the same issue.

    The way I fixed the problem was deleting all the other animations and only having one animation, but if that is no good for you, you could try using the pin behavior?

    I have been using Construct 2 now for nearly a year, and love the updates and the Construct community! I am interested in creating my own behaviors, I am currently learning how to code JavaScript, and was wondering if there was a tutorial or some sort of introductory lesson for people who want to create their own behaviors?

    I have searched in the forums and the tutorials but could not find anything relating to creating behaviors.

    Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated, :)

  • Hey guys,

    I am currently making an app and I have searched high and low and I have not been able to find the solution. I first of followed this tutorial:

    Supporting Multiple Languages

    And I was able to support multiple languages, everything was working fine, but when I exported it to cocoon js, for some reason it did not work. I did some research and discovered that .xml files are not supported.

    Is there a way around this? I see there is an action called 'set from JSON'. However, I am not to sure how to use JSON or attempted to fix up the issue but it did not work.

    Does anyone know how to solve this?

  • Hi all,

    I have been recently creating a game called 'shark extinction' Not sure if I will put it on the app store, but I noticed something which worries me quite a bit if I want to continue to use construct 2.

    In my app there are several types of fish the shark has to eat to get bigger. Here is the link if you want to try it (PM me if you want the sprites).

    However there are too many sprites with collisions on the scene and it becomes too slow and the FPS decrease substantially. I have read the tips to increase performance, such as limiting the number of sprites and decreasing the amount of collisions, but then I see many other games (most apps on the market) have a lot more sprites than my simple game. I have changed 'If overlapping another object' to 'Every 0.3 seconds' and then 'If overlapping another object' but that just makes it less responsive.

    Is there a way around this? Because most of the games I want to design have several collisions and sprites.

    For example I am thinking of making a game which the user is a white blood cell and has to consume pathogens.

    Any help would be appreciated :)

    I am trying to create an app which is similar to the game feeding frenzy. However, after being using this programme for a week and not having an big issues, I have come across something which I have not been able to solve.

    My issue is that I want to have multiple instance of an object, and depending on where they are, they 'swim' around the defined area in custom movement.

    I have got it somewhat working by doing:

    Set Variable

    'Unique' to Nemo.IID

    And then I create a sub event (under no collision with the shark) if Unique is less than 4, set the custom movement to 50. All the nemos move, besides one. I have changed all their instance variables but still do not understand what I am doing wrong and how this issue can be solved.

    So my questions are:

    How can I set certain nemos to be placed and move in certain areas

    And how can I after they are destroyed to spawn at the correct spawner object?

    Any Help would greatly be appreciated.

    Also, people are free to use the nemos, blue tangs and the shark in their own games if they want :).
