    Awesome! The inspiration is a bit too obvious regarding some of the enemies (hey, I dig Vlambeer too!) but all in all this looks great! Can't wait to try the demo.

    Thanks! Never played any of Vlambeer's games. I just checked out his/her/thems? work... I assume 'super crate boy' is what you are referring too. o_O dang I didn't even realize I was similar to it. Just downloaded to check it out.

  • Just tested NW.js 12.0-alpha3 with r197 :

    For me, the jank is there in the first 10-15 seconds and very subtlety here and there, BUT only during NW.js preview.

    On an actual export... ALL jank is gone. Not sure why this is, but I'll take what I can get.

    **EDIT**

    Freshly installed both r197 and NW.js alpha3 - All is good and jank/jitter free on previews and exports for PC.

    So far so good

  • So, if we use node-webkit as the preview browser, does it now access the NWjsForC2 installation instead of the old NodeWebkitForC2 folder?

    Correct. I just keep two folders for node. When I want Construct to use a specific one I just add "_" to the beginning of the folder name to disable it.

    use old node :

    NodeWebkitForC2

    _NWjsForC2

    use new node :

    _NodeWebkitForC2

    NWjsForC2

    I am currently working on my shooter / platformer game called Robot 505. Figured it's about time to start sharing more of the game, as I get further along. I still have a lot I would like to do on the game, but the core functionality and game mechanics are pretty well set and good. So adding to the game has been pretty painless.

    The story goes somewhat like this. It's the future and mankind has been nearly eradicated by machines. Humans are hunted down and harvested for their brains. The Brains are then used by cybernetic AI to be fused within the production of a more powerful cybernetic AI. Robot 505. Robot 505 begins it's story as he is being manufactured. When implanted with a human brain, the brain has some residual memory left over, and causes Robot 505 to see what is going on. He turns on his fellow robots and begins to destroy them to save what little, is left of mankind.

    • incorporate story & story artwork

    • create every 5th level boss
    • re design walker enemies. Too close to other game enemies.

    No worries Just figured I would point out the post date as an indicator as to why the capx is no longer there.

  • Just tested it. Jank is Gnarly right out of the gate on game start. Smooths out after about 20 sec, then FPS drops to 56-58 and game janks super gnarly. Which is really odd. Still seems to use twice the amount of CPU vs Node Webkit 10.5

    As stated earlier. This is worse than before.

    Sys Specs:

    Xeon 3.3GHz

    32 GB Ram

    2 GB GTX 650 Ti

    SSD drives

    This just blows...
