  • The best you will probably get is by using the Wrap behaviour. You can read more about it here.

As for the seamless, no snap effect, I simply don't think it's possible, but I may be wrong.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I have thought of it. There are engines out there designed around creating text-based RPGs so I would suggest using one of those instead of Construct 2.

  • mariogamer Here is a sample of what I do.

  • I saw that game before and I was really interested but I didn't know it was made in C2. How long did it take you to make that? Have you made an other games?

  • Tekniko you should nor say that. Think if that were to happen to you? How would you feel?

If I was to lose my game? I have, and I have learned from it. I was not making fun of him, I was simply stating the amount of emotion that people put into these "games" and then the next day they just up and disappear. It's just an emotional roller-coaster with these so called Game Devs.

  • I don't see any gaps. Upload a capx.

Also, you posted this in the General section of the forum. If you need help I suggest you post in the Help Section next time. There is a far more active community over there.

  • How long have you been making these posts?!

  • It's very sad that you lost your hard work. The file you trying to open must have autosaved by C2. Try hard and fix it if you can.

These people that act like their whole lives depend on their game being finished. Then just disappear. He hasn't been back in seven months... I wonder if he ever ended up making his cookie clicking game. Guess I'll never know

  • You shouldn't be getting any third-party plugins with the Steam install. You'll get the main install file from either this site or Steam. All extras are downloaded by you, on your own time. The only reason you would want to buy it on Steam is so that you can see how many hours you have spent inside Construct 2. If that is important to you and you don't care about adding a middleman onto your purchase, than by all means, Steam is the way to go.

  • Oh man. You really need to go back and read through the tutorials and manual.

First off, your background does not need a physics behavior. Remove it.

Second, use an event "On Start of Layout > Set BackGround Image to WindowWidth /2, WindowHeight /2.

    or better yet,

Third, use a tiled background. Create a small strip of blue about 24 pixels wide and the window height size for the height. NOT the layout size. Set that graphic as a tiled background and set it on its own layer. With a layer parallax of 0, 0. Then add in your clouds as sprites above the layer the background is now on.

Fourth, don't even consider this to be "done soon." I highly recommend starting with the beginner tutorials found here.

Fifth, come back with all of your questions, you will have a lot, and the community/myself will try to answer them as best we can.

    Good luck!

  • Good to hear.

  • Are you using events to center your background? Is it on a layer with 0, 0 parallax? Is it a tiled background? We need more info mate!
