  • I did not think that maybe there is a plugin fit for purpose ... now I look. There are so many in this internet site that maybe I am.

  • As in the fallout shelter the game where there is a false sense of depth, I also have to re-create a similar movement. Pathfinding is fantastic and it works great with games of all kinds, but when I have to create a 2D game, I do not like that my character is going in and turn on itself if it should turn right or left, as in the present in the DEMO Construct 2 in which the triangle turns on itself when it has to choose which way to go.

I have to make sure that the character moves with TOUCH or mouse click (done).

I have to make sure that the character avoid obstacles (made with pathfinding)

I have to make sure that the character does not turn on itself when it has to go right or left ....

Or you can propose an alternative.

Unfortunately I suffer from anterograde amnesia that forces me to reprogram the game every single time since the beginning. Ask you is the only chance I have to get on with my projects or, arrived at the halfway point, if I move away from the location of risk job of forgetting important steps or, if I enter the info texts, the risk of not fully understanding them .

  • I understand. Now I just need to know how many layout construct 2 is able to endure. I avoided adoperarne too much because I thought they were the ones who cause a disproportionate investment of RAM and various resources but if you tell me that this is the ideal solution then I use.

  • I have just stupid. Or are just tired. I do not know. Anyway, thanks! By carefully reading I remembered the option "destroy sprites" when no longer present in the game and "creates sprites" when they enter the playing area. The next test has released plenty of memory, and now the game goes much faster.

Initially I tried to follow the choice "make visible or invisible" but endeavored memory was still too much.

Thanks again. You are a breath of fresh air!

  • It must be the arrival of summer and all of these temperature changes, but I struggle to think lately. Thanks for the quick answer. You're a myth!

  • How can I lighten my game? The map created for the game is quite large and my computer is hard to charge it before to start the game in the final stages of testing. it is the case that I compose the background of the game no longer with a single sprite but with so many invisible sprites that appear only when the player is nearby? Some advice please. The game map is huge and when I run in multiplayer without a good computer does not run very well.

As always, excuse grammatical errors. I'm striving google translator

  • What are you showing me I had already found here: https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/292/gu ... t-features

but if I can not use "else" are in the same problem as before.

Maybe I have to use a plugin?

It 's strange that they did a tutorial but not visible from the Construct commands 2 ....

  • You are of infinite kindness but we had thought too. Unfortunately, the command "else" is not visible on my own version of Construct 2. I have the latest release "stable."

If I could use the "else" instance I would have already finished the game a lot of time ...

Any other idea? Or can you tell me how to turn the "else" even in my own version of Construct 2 purchased with license "Personal"?

    I have the R221 version

  • You think you can do a capx knowing that must walk on a plane? And 'surely nonsense but I'm working as hard on this project and now I am your time. It 's definitely easy to do but I arrived to a such that even just thinking I can hardly point of exhaustion.

  • I would like to tell the program to fall to the ground my character with a button and use the same button, then pressed, to make it back on its feet.

A little like the "C" button, which is used in war FPS games to hide behind a crate and then pressed, to get up again.

I had a look at the manual section, but I did not find very useful.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I thank you for the answer. However, I put aside a few thousand dollars, and I think I can rent for at least a couple of years a dedicated server. What I'd need to know and how to calculate the amount of internet traffic need to allow at least 100 users to connect to my game, simultaneously and without Lagging. You should first finish the game and do testing with real people or there is a mathematical equation to calculate it ?.

My concern is that the dedicated server may not be enough and require Internet bandwidth or superior hardware technology.

  • The beauty of multiplayer construct 2 is that to start playing the first player has to play. Everyone else will connect.

But how to figure out which computer or server can hold up a game and how to figure out how many users can connect simultaneously to the same game?

Not to mention the Internet data traffic. How to figure out which internet connection is needed to allow all players to connect to the game?

In a couple of months I will put the game in a matter of the proposed Internet site Kickstarter to see if I find the shareholders concerned ....
