It might be a while before i can take a look as i am away at the moment and cant access C2. You might want to look at the CanvasToLayer expressions to convert the co-ordinates as the layer is rotated.

I suppose you could always give the text an instance variable with the rgb value in it. Maybe more trouble than its worth though

How are you testing for this to occur? Its hard to tell from the above screenshot. Every tick, Every Second.. something else ?
I would love to see some form of palette cycling. Having the ability to select a certain range of colours in a palette and alter them alone would be very useful.

You could use the sine behavior to rotate one way then back again. Or use the rotate behavior, check the angle then reverse the rotation.
Why not put the Planet in a family as well, then do the collison checks between Planet and Family(Planet).

It doesnt work because the first touch event sets animal to 1 then the second sets it straight back to 0 and so on.
