    Mobile bidding?

Are you referring to the regular bidding in fgl when placing your game on their market? You don't have to place your games on bidding, you can directly sell non-exclusives using the gameshop.

To be honest, bidding confuses me a bit so I just use the gameshop option. Although It refers non-exclusive licensing as site-locked which is basically the same thing.

    > He messaged me awhile back for help on understanding dt before all the comments came in. I tried to give an explanation but it might not have been that great of explanation since I explained it using lerp which is new for beginners. Can anyone link him to examples (or short capx files) using dt? Possibly Kyatric 's examples? It might help beginners who come around with the same assumptions.

According to him he is a developer, so lerp wouldn't be a problem to understand. That is if he is in fact a developer (I think not)

He also hasn't even read 20 pages of the manual.

Short answer, he wasn't prepared to work the software, to invest time in learning his toolset.

He needs to justify why he couldn't get it work - he is blaming the hammer for not hitting the nail in straight - I guess that makes sense - lol

I guess there really isn't much we can do to help those who are uninterested in learning the toolset. But it's more of a trial and error thing where you need to play around with the tool to find out what works, such as using dt in specific parts of the game to improve performance. But I do think we could provide the resources. Maybe if anyone else is interested in the same topic and is having a bit of doubt, we could try and steer them to the right direction unless they really want to give up (as shown by the thread starter) then I guess there's point in helping.

No need to apologize, it's good to be aware of the contract agreements.

My group, sold some non-exclusive licenses for our games on the fgl portal to sponsors who were perusing the fgl market so it might be worth checking out. I recommend newcomers to learn java script so they can integrate other sponsor sdk or api's if they do plan to sell games on fgl. I noticed some sponsor's tend to avoid construct 2 games unless you really know what your doing and are willing to make adjustments for potential buyers (integrate sdk or make changes).

The 200$ is for fgl's promotional offer, which involves a bit of work (integrating fgl sdk) but even so sponsors will ask you to do something similar so it might be worth learning how to integrate the fgl sdk.

Add dt everywhere, do some image compression, look over your coding for sprite object overdraw. Use cocoonjs or intel xdk for native mobile export, unless you want it to work on mobile phone browsers it will require a bit more coding magic for this to work well.

I'm not sure what you mean. FGL has an offer of 200$ for their integrated sdk, its a non-exclusive license. Payout is low though but it's non-exclusive so you can sell your game still. FGL also allows you to submit games on their portal so publishers can see it.

  • I was gonna upgrade to windows 8 but I wasn't ready for the change due to the new ui for window's 8, I prefer the windows 7 interface so I decided to keep it. The new ui looks a bit scattered and feels like my tablet device which I'm not to fond of.

Did you upgrade your actual windows Os to 8? Or are you using a virtual machine?

I was wondering if there was a way to change the ui for windows 8.

I appreciate the input guys. The 'Request fullscreen' was mentioned in the manual somewhere that not all browsers have this feature, so that's understandable.

Yea I figured I would have to resort to this method. I appreciate the response. I thought I would have to use gamma, alpha or beta to pull up a message to get the right orientation, but it seems this method is much quicker and easier.

  • Is there a way to lock mobile phone orientations when testing c2 games on a phone browser? I know the browser ojbect has that option but it doesn't quite work out as it only freezes the game until your in the right orientation.

  • Anyone know an alternative way to open the mobile phone standard keyboard with a textbox through cocoonjs? I tried textbox but it seems to not appear after cloud compiling the game.

I'd like to enable keyboard input from the user through there mobile phones standard keyboard, rather then a virtual keyboard built in construct 2. Anyone know a way to do this? Or a way to get textbox working through cocoonjs?

I think the 'we' is AppCampus. Apparently "AppCampus is implemented in cooperation with Microsoft and Nokia, and is hosted by the Aalto Center for Entrepreneurship. "

But then again I stopped reading after the uk part so I'm not to sure.
