  • I completed my app for android which is now available on the google play store to download. And it's free (ad based).

It's called, 'BANG! Sound Effects' and yes, it's another sound effects board of mine. The games will eventually come. I've got several in mind.

Basically, it started off simple. But then I went a little crazy on it by adding vibration (if device supports), screen shake, flashes to represent muzzle flash, simple smoke blast and particle blasts. It all happens at the push of button. Thanks Scirra! :D

I hope you like the app. All I ask is for a rating and/or review of some sort on google play if you enjoyed it.

BANG! Sound Effects on Google Play

Just as a note. I wanted to implement an FB like button, but was semi-successful at that. FB had a 'like' generator that gave an http: code which I used. When it connects to the link, the text is very tiny. I'm assuming the page opens up in desktop mode and not mobile mode. Changing the link from facebook to m.facebook didn't work either. Has anyone had success on this?

    Thanks!

  • IAP for me. I have three apps waiting for IAP implementation.

  • I'm wondering if Ludei has their own copy of C2. Mainly to help focus on assisting development of their plugin.

  • Unfortunately, I too was unable to get it to work on android side. Been using the 'android.test.purchased' ID for fake transactions, but it doesn't initiate any type of window. There also doesn't seem to be a way to output any IAP feedback results if a state has been initiated as it shows in the IAP Cocoon app demo.

  • I've been currently attacking the same thing but on the android side. My next steps are to attempt communication to the google play store from within the app.

  • Hi,

Well, my good practice for this is:

Use Play (by name) instead of Play, because in Play (by name) you put the sound file name like a string, and if you delete the sound file, the action do not change, it will not work, but do not change. And soon as you load the new sound file it will start work again.

I'm going to switch to this method. I usually go through many sounds looking for the right feel. I do wish it did have a replace audio the same way as you can in the image editor.

  • This is very interesting. So how could we use the Cocoon extensions from Ludei's site with the browser object?

    ie. Application "quit" control

For calling a boolean in Cocoon:

    CocoonJS.App.setAppShouldFinishCallback(FUNCTION_THAT_RETURNS_A_BOOLEAN)

    If it returns true then:

    CocoonJS.App.forceToFinish

  • Good news!

  • Now I can hope the new features can be implemented into the next CS2 update
