  • You could use a variable off/on for each one (sprite1=0, sprite1=1, etc) and condition/sub-condition down:

    sprite1=0,sprite2=0, sprite3=0, choose(1,2,3)

    Else

    ---Sprite1=1,sprite2=0,sprite3=0, choose(2,3)

Thanks again for the suggestions, I tried following your logic both ways without success

Could you kindly take a look at my event sheet to see what i may be doing incorrectly?

    many thanks in advance!

  • Another option is this plugin:

    thanks again for your help.

ive been trying to use your plugin without success

could you take a look at my screencapture to see what imdoing incorrectly?

i have the values set at 1-3 and 3 as my threshold, but it still seems to repeat

what can i be doing wrong?

    many thanks in advance

I would love to see how this is done with events

and not have to rely on 3rd party plugins

any chance you could repost your capx?

    tks!

  • thanks blackhornet, I'll give that a look!

  • Many thanks for your 2 suggestions

    I'll give it a whirl

Is there a specific expression you had in mind for the 2nd suggestion? (is on-scene) (x on layout)

    that sounds reasonably straightforward

but if you could give me a nudge in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated

    tks again!

  • Hi there,

I wasnt sure how to phrase this question,

so I will provide a screencap of my eventsheet along with the capx for reference

    Basically I have 3 sprites:

    Sprite_01, Sprite_02, Sprite_03

They are all spawned from the same Origin:

    SpriteSpawner

Im choosing between 3 numbers randomly by using: choose(1,2,3)

    which triggers which is spawned

when spawned, they head over to a WayPointSprite first:

    SpriteWayPoint

before they head to their Death at:

    SpriteDestroy

What I would like to do is have them spawn randomly as they are doing at the moment,

but if Sprite_01 is already spawn,

I would like it to ONLY choose between Sprite_02 or Sprite_03 for its next generation

and ONLY spawn another Sprite_01 once it has reached its death

MANY THANKS in advance for any help i can get with this,

I have been at this for days, with different boolean techniques without success

  • +1 on printing the event sheet

  • totally agree with this feature request that for whatever reason has been ignored during the past few years of c2's development

if anyone knows of how to do this, or has a good workaround, other than snipping-tool cut/paste to some sort of image editor

but just a handy, send contents of eventsheet to printer...i would also very much appreciate! tks!

  • stemkoski

    your summer course sounds amazing

is it open to all? where/when? is there a virtual class one can participate?

if you could send me some details would greatly appreciate!

many thanks in advance for your time & consideration

  • You can hide/show this by pressing the f4 button.

THANK YOU very much! You were VERY helpful.

  • Hi there,

My Objects (ghosted) Expressions Panel Listing is missing!

When I first started learning C2, the expressions panel for each object would pop up ghosted for whichever object when I went to set an action, which would allow the option to click it to see a list of available expressions. VERY helpful.

But I dont seem to get this anylonger in my current version of C2

Is there a settings Im unaware of?

Ive tried adjusting the refresh rate of my graphics card, and many other things, with no success

What I would like to know if there is a alternate way to pull this up, without relying on it automatically popping up?

    many thanks in advance

  • You are going to have to use Ajax to send a string..

There are some tutorials about communicating with mySQL through Ajax and php in the tutorial section..

hey LittleStain, thank you so much.

    I will look into that.

If anyone else has any other suggestions or recomends, I would GREATLY appreciate it!

    many thanks in advance!
