    Greetings,

    I've been working on a project for 4 months, have a prototype lined up and I'm part way through setting up on Kickstarter.

    The game is called "PSYBLOCKS". A puzzle platformer.

    Aim to have the Kickstarter started within the next month.

    Game finish about sept/oct later this year.

    To this date I have done this all on my own and I'm starting to feel a bit swamped with the work this Kickstarter is going to entail as well as the task of completing the game generally.

    What I am in need of is this: (None of these are necessary but will greatly improve chances of me considering you.)

    Experience with Kickstarter

    Sound designer/composer I would need a single song for the Kickstarter video. For the game, I'd need a few samples/loops.

    Video editor To help make the gameplay sequence in Kickstarter trailer.

    I need someone to fit each role.

    For work with me I can give full credits on the Kickstarter page itself, credits in-game.

    I'm going to aim for a Kickstarter goal of 22k USD.

    And I am willing to negotiate percentages on the final Kickstarter total after tax as payment and I'm willing to pay UPFRONT if needs be for some work.

  • I'm in need of a prototype within next 2 weeks to illustrate my ideas/art style etc.

    Biggest milestone I face with construct 2 is working quickly and efficiently.

    This means I'm willing to pay minimum ?80/$125/90 Euro via paypal for a prototype endless running game within a week or so from taking the offer.

    I'm doing the artwork for this prototype.

    This prototype is NOT going to be made commercial.

    What I want is something functional like "I Must Run".

    Requirements:

    Random sized/heighted platforms (see I Must Run link)

    Annotated events so I can made adjustments where needed

    64*64 pixels size for main character, so platforms etc would have to match this scale.

    Game resolution will be 720p.

    Double Jump for character

    Sliding move (to slide under some obstacles)

    Punch move (to destroy some obstacles)

    Any questions/further info I'll be happy to answer them.

  • Using your method and something i tweaked it has worked:D

    On pathfinding arrived   -    Stop

            +                      +

    Bluepathfinder=1             Set bluepathfinder to 2

    Using your inverted pathfinding moving along path, and "stopping" the object once it "arrives" seems to work.

    If this explanation confuses anyone ill post a picture :)

    Use instance variables like this to dictate phases of your character.

    For example if character phase variable =1 movement is allowed, set at default numbers

    The character "dies" set the variable to 2. While the variable is 2 this could decrease character speed to 0 etc.

  • If i take away the "trigger once" addition from the pathfinder 2 variable... the minions all travel to tower one... and carry on moving til the edge of the screen. and then stop.

    Which makes absolutely no sense lol

  • Early stages of MOBA style game, trying to get minions to travel from one tower to the next using pathfinding behaviour.

    3 minions on each side travel to the first tower no problem, then when I change their target then to second tower, only one of the 3 minions travels.

  • Messes with angles on left stick. RIGHT stick still nothing :/

  • In the middle currently of a 48 hour Game-jam and this hiccup with the controller is really slowing things down, so need a response as soon as :)

    Xbox pad working fine for everything except when I am attempting to set the RIGHT analog stick to control the angle of the characters arm.

    Move right analog stick right and theorectically the characters arm/gun is set right.

    I looked through the forums and only found this, and it is quite advanced to the extent that I don't fully understand it.

    "angle(0, 0, Gamepad.Axis(0, 0), Gamepad.Axis(0, 1))"

    With this used to "set angle" the LEFT stick directs the angle of the arm instead of the RIGHT.

    This is a problem because the characters left and right movement is set on the LEFT stick.

    Have a character that will be performing animations (attacks) at random.

    Each animation is linked to a number in a global variable.

    Once each animation is finished

    "System - set"global variable" to floor(random(1, 7))

    With this working, it should create an endless loop of the character pulling off animations without pause.

    My problem is he is pausing randomly and I don't understand how/why.

    Would it possibly be because of the line "floor(random(1, 7))"?

    Are there better alternatives?

    Or maybe at the core could my way of doing this be changed? (see image)
