    Steps to reproduce:

    1. I export the .capx using Node-Webkit

    2. I go to run the .exe it creates

    Observed result:

It crashes with the following wall of text:

    Game.exe has stopped working

    Expected result:

It should run, like it does when I play it on Win 7 (32bit) machines

    Browsers affected:

    N/A

    Operating system & service pack:

    Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit)

    Service Pack 1

    Construct 2 version:

    R130

  • Well, I'm having similar issues. When we were trying to run this on the computers at Uni (both running Win 7 64bit) the file would either not even run, or run but shut down seconds later.

We were using R129 to export today, if that helps

  • Guess you guys fixed whatever it was with the 129 build, as I no longer have said issue <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I'll check tonight, but I am running r128.2, will check the Java though.

  • You might want to either close and open C2 again, or click the Size | Make 1:1, just incase. Failing that, just make sure the centre point is in the centre as that can cause funny issues like this too.

  • P.S. When exporting it to Windows 8 it displays the same wall of text

  • Link to .capx file (required!):

    dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108799982/TheOrphanage.capx

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Clicked Export

    2. Chose Node-Webkit

    3. Chose the directory

    4. Clciked Export

    Observed result:

It crashed half way throught the export and provided me with the following wall of text.

    ---------------------------

    Construct 2 Check failure

    ---------------------------

Check failure! This is probably a bug:

Minifier did not output a file

    Condition: FileExists(min_js)

    File: html5.cpp

    Line: 1413

Function: void __cdecl Exporter::DoExport(class era::IProject *,class era::ILayout *,bool, struct HWND__ *,bool)

    Build: release 128.2 (64-bit) checked

    Component: HTML5 exporter

    (Last Win32 error: 2)

You are using a 'checked' release of Construct 2, intended for testing, which causes certain errors to be reported this way. Hit Ctrl+C to copy this messagebox - it's useful information for the developers, so please include it with any bug reports! Click 'Abort' to quit (unsaved data will be lost!),'Retry' to turn off messages for this session and continue, or 'Ignore' to continue normally.

    ---------------------------

    Abort   Retry   Ignore

    ---------------------------

    Expected result:

I expected it to export the file like it did with the R128 build

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: no

    Firefox: no

    Internet Explorer: no

Operating system & service pack: Windows 7

    Construct 2 version: 128.2

  • I'm in Australia, why do you ask ? Is it 'cause we use Uni instead of College ?

  • dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108799982/Capx%20Demos/SimpleBox.capx Give that a shot. You can drag multiple boxes at the same time, but I'm sure you can fix that,as I've got to run to uni. If you can't get it, you'll have to wait until tonight for me to fix it <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I've just spent the last week on this issue myself, on and off. I'll take a look at yours when I get home and make it so it works.

  • Sounds fun, have you any concept art so I can see the style of the game ?
