  • You can have different layout sizes but only one window size that sets in the properties when when you selected the project. If you need to center then on the layout that's giving you issues try

    System> On start of layout >Scroll to X 400

    (and) Y 300

  • Leadbolt does require it as part a verification process. It's a good idea to think about getting a website together, whether your making mobile web games or native installs for the app stores, you're going to need it to help promote your game(s). There are plenty of both, inexpensive or free hosting solutions, and/or WordPress for FREE to get started. Also I just gave you one example. Search the tutorials sections for "banner advertising" or "admob" and you will find other options. In addition there are literally dozens of in-app advertising solutions' available that you an google to find. Not all of them easy to implement, so you have to look around.

  • I guess it could depend on what you want to do with it but, Adobe Fireworks is sill my graphics software of choice.

  • I don't what your game is like but,

Try creating a variable that starts a 1 and perhaps write a function that creates the number of enemies equal to the variable. Then each time a wave is created add 1 to the variable and call the function to create the number of enemies. That's the basic idea...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Depends on the type of game, mobile web or native install. Leadbolt is popular for mobile web and many use admob with mopeb in combination with their wrapper ( cocoonJS, etc...). Your best bet might be to post a tutorial on the actual implementation of what your offering and some results.

You can search the tutorials section to get a better idea of what devs use. For example:

    https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/740/how-to-monetize-your-appgame

Keep in mind that it doesn't cost anything to implement other services that are very reputable.

    Good luck

  • A simple solution to get started is to download pode html plugin here:

    https://www.scirra.com/forum/plugins-pode-html-pack_t69356?&hilit=pode+div+plugin

Install the plugin into C2 then you can use leadbolt for ads, sign up here:

    http://www.leadbolt.com/

then read the following tutorial here:

    https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/740/how-to-monetize-your-appgame

You can also search tutorials section on ads and monetization for more advanced solutions.

  • Definitely test on a variety of devices. Sizing is big issue for mobile HTML5 games too. You can also use on simulators for devices you might not have.

    http://www.responsive.com.au/tools/simulator/ipad-mini/#.U2ouCxtOXIX for Ipad mini.

    http://iphone4simulator.com/ for iPhone 4

Always a good idea to ask for some feedback from other devs.

  • I got it. Thanks!

  • F'n awesome!!! Can't wait to try this. Your plugins rock!

  • There are many ways to accomplish this using the various movement behaviors in C2.

A really simple solution is using the Rex "MoveTo" Plugin

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5779181/C2Repo/rex_moveto.html

You can set the speed, acceleration, and position after adding this plugin to C2.

    Very easy to use.

  • That should be done in a graphics editing program prior to adding it into your project. However you can try setting the Blend Mode in the properties to Additive. Generally that's used for animations like explosions with black backgrounds to blend them into the game so you don't see the that it's actually a square graphic against the background. Anytime you the additive settings on multiple animations, remember to keep them all on the same layer to keep it from effecting game performance. And there will a slight degree of transparency created to the graphic.

  • I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure. It could or should be "listening" and checking to run frames that don't exist. That's going degrade performance if you do it enough. It's just common sense. There are so many things that can effect performance, that I'm not going to go into here, but why would you want to set it to Yes, when you don't have any frames to run.
