  • So the level 1 Hero is strolling through the grassy hills of the first part of the world. HE SPOTS A SLIME! Buuuuuut it's just bouncing up and down because the deity orchestrating the events doesn't know how to make it jump to the left or right depending on which side the player is on.

How do I make the slime jump to the left if the player is to the left of it, and to the right if the player is to the right of it?

  • The problem is, they are images I am getting from someone else. Unless there is a way to just erase the white background that it comes with without making the fade around the character look like a white border that won't work.

  • I figured it out, nevermind. There's a thing under platform events to simulate control from a player.

  • Hi, I like to do stuff :3

  • Try Construct 3

  • If you want the game to be top down, you have to draw the sprites that way. I don't think there's a way to switch between top-down and side-scrolling in the same game if that's what you're asking.

  • There is a behavior you can add to objects called, "drag and drop". This should do it ;)

  • Unless you want to program a complicated physics orientated cape, you could just make an animation for the cape that would activate when you use wind in the game.

  • Hi, I want to program a jump-like move for an enemy in my platformer. I have platform movement turned on and Default Controls turned off so the player can't control it. Is there a way for me to program a jump just like it happens for the character, but have the computer do it? Thanks!

  • This has been asked before, I looked at previous posts. But none of them have solved my problem. I imported a PNG file into Construct 2, and there is a white background behind my character. Is there a way to deal with this while in Construct 2 besides the Additive effect? That makes the blue on my character kind of transparent and the white doesn't even go away. In your answer, please don't suggest using a photo editing software because that isn't an option.
