I'm a bit confused at the feature difference here - what does Animate offer (aside from export to video) that Construct does not? Looking at the feature list, some of the inclusions are outright bizzare for an animation tool...! Websockets? JSON? HTML? The closest thing to animation equalwould be Flash/Adobe Animate, which Construct combats far more effectively
Unsure how Animate is substantially different from Construct, at the moment it seems the animation editor can do all of this and more (by virtue of being tacked onto a game engine)
The new example projects are fantastic, well done Viridino Studios, and Merry Christmas Scirra team
The bundled guided tour really made me feel the magic of Construct again (plus, after 8 years of using Construct, I've just realised Align>Fit Viewport is a thing!) - is there any plans to make these kind of projects user creatable (admittedly no idea how this would work as it looks very bespoke)
What will happen to C2 projects that are converted/opened in C3 that made use of the older audio system?
Going to use this moment to plug what I consider the final barrier to decent webpage support (we now have JS and CSS) - adding anything like what I suggest in the comments would be amazing!

You can export for Switch via C3 to Chowdren
Thank you Ashley - super excited to try this out :)
Amazing feature - will C3 have it's own library/intellisense for the IDE?
I wonder if it would be possible for empty tags to be stripped the action GUI - I understand why it's there but I think it would look so much cleaner
Love the update as always, action comments will make for some very pretty event sheets
Looks good to me! :)
This looks fantastic, very well made feature! It might be worth looking into href lang for your internal SEO between languages, Google has a annoying habit of ignoring the more conventional metas like HTML lang on favour of "new" hotness(!). You can group pages together so that they pull each other up, kind of like a sharable canonical.
I love that with the C3 runtime finished, every beta release adds new features that make Construct feel like a new product every other week
I wouldn't call that a roadmap - it's more of a port list.
I'm very excited for the completion of the C3 Runtime though, as then we'll have a full dev team working on brand new features for a next gen engine
Love the video player!
Love the video content! Hope this becomes a regular thing
