  • Hey rexrainbow, following question:

Is it possible to move a chess to the chosen (clicked) tile, so that the chess doesn't overlap another chess objects while moving (evades another objects). GridMove>MoveToTarget moves the chess straight to the tile and overlaps another objects on the way.

I think it is sort of path-finding. May be there's a work around for that?

  • A very nooby question regarding "user join":

I don't know how the rexrainbow's node.js server works, but it seems to be that at some point it stops registering users. In the rexrainbow's example it says "Login to lobby failed". After a while it starts working again. Is it somehow connected to heroku? If I'll install the server locally, would it solve the problem? Is it possible to reset the server manually somehow?

Will it be possible to use this plugin together with the your socketIO.bat to create a simple multiplayer turnbased card game? Using string messages for communication between clients?

  • Cool that you like it and "Force Start" just works! Very nice.

  • Here's the .capx, where you can see the problem. Please note, you need 3 third party plugins in order to run it:

    1) Easy Tween

    2) Nickname

    3) MoveTo

In the group "Move blocks" you can find it under the "Move blocks down" comment. Enable tweening with "EasyTween" and disable tweening with "MoveTo". Try to click on the chunks of blocks very fast, in order to see the effect.

  • lunarray, great plugin so far, especially all possible easing functions (bounce out is my favorite), but there seems to be an issue with starting the tween, while another tween of the same object type is running. To put it different, you can't start tweening instances, while another instances of the same object type are being tweened.

E.g. "MoveTo" behavior can do this.

  • Yeps, your suggestions work well.

  • Thanks man, you opened my eyes at LOOPINDEX - never considered it from this perspective.

But in spite of this good solution, it still would be great to have this options in the for loop - I think logic will be less error-prone.

  • Hello fellas,

Of course it is easily doable with the "while loop + variable", but

right now it's not possible to iterate a "for loop" in the reversed order (like from 10 to 1). Could this feature be implemented? It would be also helpful to define an iteration step (like 3 instead of 1 ) with a variable value.

    Cheers

  • Voted - good luck, guys!

  • What do you think?

It could be useful to store a set of values in the instance variable.

  • You can compare the text in the input field (system->compare two values) with predefined strings (like "John"). If condition is met - > create a certain sprite.

If you have many different sprites to create, you can also use the "nickname" plugin by rexrainbow for easy sprite creation:
