Hiya,
My name is Dane, and I run Nochek Solutions. I have been playing video games since the industry started making good ones, and even continued to play after they stopped. Several years ago I started learning to program, and several languages later I decided I could finally begin to make the things I always wanted.
And then I realized that I didn't want to code it all from scratch :p
I looked around at HTML5-centric game makers, considering a few, when I stumbled upon Construct 2. It wasn't so much the features (I could think of a ton more I'd like) or the helpful reminders (I just want to set a variable to something that doesn't exist yet. I promise I'll make it later!) but the existence of a non-time limited demo version, that for the majority of purposes is a full on game creator.
Not only did I try out the free version for a few weeks, I also had my 11 year old nephew download it and start playing with it. He loves games, and now that he knows how to cut up sprites he is going to be belting out titles by the time hes 12.
Needless to say, I was so impressed by the relatively simple and expedient licensing system, and that is why I purchased Construct 2. That, and I've already created 4 levels of Tooof, it'd be a shame to let it go to waste now
