  • I am working on another game and I have a question on region size. I am making a platformer puzzle game and the region of view is too small. I want the player to see the whole map.

    I mean having a small field of view can work but I don't wanna put a lot of work into something for it not to work game play wise.

  • I recently had to ditch a project i was working on. It was a game purely based on sine movements. I thought it would go far but i realized there wasn't much game play going on. Had to resort to my backup plan which im currently working on with a couple of kids from the boys and girls club. Almost finished with it.

  • I guess i will enter the contest then. Im working on another project i think is better but realistically i won't be finish with it by march 2012 unless i do nothing but all nighters lol. Thx for the info python.

  • woot this works. Isfalling is great.

    lol while messing around I figured out how to make your player bounce when he jumps on a target.

    add another action for the player and set the platform vector y to -500 or what ever desired result you want.

  • So ive been messing around with construct for about 2- 3 weeks now and i decided to finally make a game. The game i made is called the legend of bloo. You control a cow that has 2 different laser beam eyes. 1 to save cows and the other to destroy meteors. How many cows can you save in 60 seconds?

    Im starting to know what my limitations and strengths are as a designer. I came to the conclusion that minimalism can be fun. My next game will be 5 times harder than the legend of bloo hehe. <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I also found an article on gamasutra explaining racing and track mechanics. Anyone can check it out if your interested. I think its pretty interesting. Before i read it i thought racing games weren't really planned design wise.
