• Actually as I've learned the hard way, you have to have an accessible/selectable link in the settings charm itself, or the actual policy.

It is ok to have it in the About section of the charm as long as the above conditions are met.

• Amazon well done!

• The image on the page appears broken. Also I would suggest you make your link selectable.

• Yann - it works perfectly! You're a true C2 guru thanks again :)

• Arima - yeah it's very surprising, considering that games have been a huge contributor to the ipad's (and arguably iphone/ipod) success. MS have dropped the ball for gaming here IMHO.

Since having the problems, MS released a firmware upgrade, but most games still stutter along.

I'm thinking about dropping ARM devices, or perhaps making pared down versions for them.

• Hi Guys,

I picked up a MS Surface RT the other day to test out a game that I'd released to the Win store. To my absolute horror, the game ran at 10-15 fps. I checked out some other simple games like Jetpack Joyride, and they too ran with some frame rate drops.

The surprising thing is that my game, and simple ones like JPJR run at 30+ fps on my old ipad2.

Strangely enough, when I ran the HTML5 exported version of my game through IE10, performance was actually slightly better again. Bit of a 'wtf' moment for me - shouldn't native apps run better?

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences, either with the Surface or other ARM devices.

• Hi All, as per Austin's instructions for clay.io, I put the privacy statement under the About Section of the charm.

That should be ok right?

However, the game still failed certification. One thing I did forget to do was to point out exactly where the policy was located, or is the fact that it's under About not good enough?

• Yann, ok here it is:

I just replaced the mouse with touch , but I guess I'm missing something...

• Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
• Yann, great example! I wanting to apply this to touch. I replaced all the mouse expressions with touch ones, but it didn't work, is there something else I need to do?

• Hi guys,

I'm trying to add clay.io resources in Visual Studio for my Windows 8 game, but I can't figure out how to do it.

The stuff I googled up say I need to rightclick on the project in the solution explorer, go to properties and select the resources tab, but I don't get such a tab.

I've also tried including the 3 required clayio files in the project, but I get errors indicating that I haven't added them as resources.

Any hints for a VS2012 nub?

• Hey Austin, I just wanted to double check for Windows 8 integration - do I need to also publish the game in clay.io for my Windows store game to use the achievements and leaderboards?

If so I'm guessing after I've done that, and activated the leaderboards, I follow the steps in: clay.io/docs/windows8

Is there anything else I need to do?

(btw the package link currently returns a 404)

• Amazing! Thanks ;)
