    I have just tested out playing inline videos again but not using wkebview and webkit-playsinline no longer works i believe (ipad iOS 10).

    The video plays inside a player on ipad in landscape instead of inline as it should. Can someone else please test this. the webkit-playsinline tag has been deprecated so now the tag is playsinline as apposed to webkit-playsinline. any chance this can be added to a beta because i need my videos to play inline as they did in iOS 9 on ipad and overlay sprites on top.

    Would love to see this in construct 2, recently used inline play for IOS 10 on a none construct 2 html5 app and it works great, not sure if it has moved to construct 2 yet but these features would be an awesome addition.

  • Okay, so I could reproduce and this should be fixed in the next build now (finally!)

    The root cause of the problem was actually pretty unusual. When the iPad 3 came out, it had terrible performance, unless you used a canvas width of 2046 instead of the full 2048 (probably due to obscure details of the graphics driver). We duly hacked in a workaround that set the maximum viewport size to 2046 on retina-enabled iPads. Fast forward about 4 years and the iPad Pro is the first retina iPad device with a viewport wider than 2048 pixels! Our hack was still kicking in and bringing the viewport down too narrow. I tested the iPad 3 and it looks like it doesn't need this hack any more, presumably subsequent iOS updates fixed the original problem. So it should all be working as of the next build.

    Interesting how workarounds that are essential at the time end up being a problem in the long run. This is why I'm wary of working around OS/browser bugs...

    Awesome news!! has this already been applied to any beta versions of Construct 2 that i can test or is it too early days to try this out. I say this because i have a deadline looming and the client have ipad pros and this is the only issue that remains.

  • I am having this exact same issue with our ipad pro in the office. Fullscreen layout set to Scale outer which works fine on an ipad air but is only in a box on the left hand side of the screen on an ipad pro in safari. Unbounded scrolling is set to 0 along with parallax and it centers and scales on Desktop fine but ipad pro is a no no. I wonder if it is because of the pixel density of the ipad pro or something along those lines?

    Any ideas on this guys.

    This may well be described in one of the 151 pages in this thread, and if it is, my apologies...

    I'm just getting started with this plugin and am trying to do something seemingly simple -- I'm trying to place a 2D image (.png) onto a 3Dplane. I've created an exported .obj file from Blender that uses a .png a file as texture for a Blender plane and everything can correctly in Blender. HOWEVER, when I try to load said .obj file into C2 (using the Position_and_Rotation_Actions demo this plugin comes with) I can't seem to get the Q3DModel to render -- the image's texture is not displayed. (I've set "Use Model" to Yes, and set "Model Materials" to Yes while also importing the OBJ file into the C2 Files folder)

    Would someone be able to put a quick .CAPX together that accomplishes this? Perhaps this can even be done programmatically in C2? I'm not picky..

    TD;DL: I have an 2D image I want to paste onto a 3D plane using this plugin

    To actually Get a model in that is textured you don't need any code at all.

      You just need to import the model >> assign a texture to it via the animations panel Q3D Model object
      Double click your Q3D model object in the object viewer (so it brings the image viewer)
      Then go to file > open and find the texture you want to show on the model.
      The most important thing is that you name the default animation to "DiffuseMap" and then run your project and it should work fine.

    Been looking at this for a while and just bought it purely out the hard work that must have gone into (and still going into) creating this. I haven't received it yet but i was wondering if it will come with any documentation or examples on setting up a "hello world" scenario?

    p.s how long does it take to come through after payment, i'm guessing it isn't an automated system
