    Have you tried putting the music in the sounds folder instead? The sounds folder is downloaded before the game starts while music streams.

    No I have not. I will though, do I need to re-import or just move directories inside of Construct 2?

    Been working on a project for awhile and one thing that I just cant seem to figure out is how to get my BG_music to start when the Main Menu Loads.

    Layout Flow

    Logo Layout - shows my logo, fades out and then goes to Main Menu layout. Logo layout contains Pre-Load BG_Music

    Main Menu Layout - Title Screen for game, plays BG_Music and then goes to Instructions Screen

    Instructions Layout - Displays Instructions and has double tap which moves you to Lvl_stage1. THIS HAS NO BG MUSIC SET TO PLAY AS IT IS CARRYING OVER FRO MAIN MENU

    If I test In Construct it works fine. Logo comes up, main menu is next and BG starts playing

    If I test in Intel XDK on my mobile device the logo comes up, goes to Main Menu but no music plays. Double tap to move to Instructions and then the BG_music plays.

    I have tried various methods of pre-loads and loading of the music but nothing changes when testing.

    What am I missing?

  • IS this possible? I want to have it when you pick up and item everything on the screen fades except the player_obj and collected_obj.

    I see how to Fade objects themselves...but man that would take a long time to do each one individually.

    I am able to get my character to move right and apply the walking animation throughout the hoding down of the right arrow object

    If I press left it only does the animation for about 1/2 second and then the charcter just slides until I stop touching the left arrow object.

    Here is my info below

  • You can add the sine behavior to the background sprite. Set the movement of the sine to: "Size" , set magnitude "50" or whatever you want (you can experiment) and set the period to 240 (120x2) and see how it goes.

    Had to bump magnitude up to 500 but see some growth...editied down to 250 and looks good...i think this will do the trick Thanks!

  • Every X seconds

    -> set bg.width to self.width+1

    -> set bg.height to self.height+1

    That's the simplest way to do something like that... it becomes more complicated if you want to maintain aspect ratios and stuff like that, but for simple explanation you just want to change the width and height every X seconds perhaps?

  • oh I see what you are saying. Thanks I'll give it a try. It is for the title screen so it is not 100% necessary I just think it would add a little the over screen...vs the static BG.
