  • Just adding a link with more info,

    http://www.polygon.com/2016/3/30/113185 ... ne-dev-kit

Thanks Scofano, I forgot to link the same article!

EDIT: I'd also like to add that I know C2 can export to a format for the windows store, is this what they're talking about when they mean UWP games? I apologize for my ignorance on the subject.

  • So today it was announced that every Xbox One console can now be used as a dev kit, and it appears that the games will be running under UWP apps. I was wondering if this will be of any benefit to C2 users looking to get their games on Xbox, or if it's something that doesn't change anything for us.

I've never tried getting a game on Xbox, so I don't know if C2 games are already on Xbox One, or if this will even help towards getting them on there if they're not. Thoughts?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I believe if you click on the object that you want to make jump you can change its platform properties (which by the sound of it you've already added the platform behavior to the object) in the sidebar where you can change the jump strength.

EDIT: Also, in the future you may want to post these kinds of topics in the "How do I..." board to get better help. Good luck!

  • I use Adobe Photoshop CC for all of my drawing, and Shoebox for putting together sprite sheets.

If I need something done in multiple perspectives but am having trouble drawing it out, I'll create the basic shape of the object in blender first, then render out 2d images from different angles as a working reference.

My background is in three-dimensional design (as well as fine arts), so sculpting something out or doing lots of rough sketches in a sketchbook is my starting point

However, with money being a bit more tight during the holidays I was wondering if there is any chance Scrirra will be doing a sale in the coming months (even for something like %25 off), or if they stay pretty firm on the price.

Construct 2 is 30% off!!! Your wish came true!

I just checked this morning. Jumping on it!

  • Scirra will usually notify by email of the sales pertaining to the personal or business editions of Construct 2. They don't have many discount sales, yeah I know it sucks but hang in there! I'm quite happy to hear that you've reached the limit of the free edition, it means that your progressing with the software!

Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for something over the next couple months, and just work with what I have for now. It's possible I can make the game a bit more efficient within the limitations of the free version.
