• Sorry guys, but after seeing coverage on CNET and many other websites I thought it was legit.

Although it does seem as if Adobe has screwed up a bit here. They released the download files and serial numbers into the wild and I can only assume that they will proliferate across the web now like wildfire.

  • Adobe are giving away CS2 Creative Suite for Win and Mac. The Adobe page with the links is temporarily overloaded and unavailable, bu the direct download links work and are available here. (URL deleted)

Also note that CS2 versions of other programs are also available!

Moderator edit: it appears that the reporting was in error, from Forbes:

No, You Can't Download Adobe CS2 Applications For Free

"Update: Following a frenzy of Internet activity ? and some confusion ? it appears that Adobe isn?t giving away free copies of Adobe CS2.

    Adobe scientist Dov Isaacs clarifies:

On behalf of Adobe Systems Incorporated ?

You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!

What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don?t require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. (Special serial numbers are provided on the page for each product download.) See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1114930."

  • I'm running R106 on Win7 x64 without any problems. I did install the latest Win7 patches yesterday and I also installed the latest NVidia drivers (v306.97) yesterday. All running fine!

  • Interesting, Fabric Engine provides almost compiled performance for JS in the browser.

I tried a few of the examples and it does seem to offer some benefits, although it does require a Add-on for the browser that weighs in at 12 MB. I don't know enough about the internal workings of CS2 to know if this could be of use or not.

Thought this may be interesting to a few people around here just the same

  • Fantastic work lucid - purchased and thanks for developing this great time saver for C2.

  • I don't know why, but when I was editing my profile I hit the recalculate rep button, just to see what it did. My rep dropped by 500 points... Is this a bug or had I been accumulating things I shouldn't have? I guess it just goes to show that you shouldn't fiddle with things when they aren't broken...

  • Not sure if this is useful, but I am not seeing this bug in R80. I can add sub events without any problem. Also, I don't get a crash when I open Weishaupt's CAPX. The file opens and runs without incident.

  • Confirmed - it appears to be similar if not the same bug as adding a tiled background image. Requires closing C2 via Win Task manager.

  • I have the same problem with R80. After inserting a tiled background image the editor refuses to close. It requires closing C2 via the task manager to close the program.

System: Win7 64bit, 12 GB Ram, NVidia GTX 260, latest NVidia drivers

  • I like the game! I noticed a potential problem on level 4 though. When you place a domino on top of the second set of steps, the placed domino moves and in most cases falls before you run the level. It seems the top of the steps isn't level and the dominoes are moving under gravity - sliding to the right. Is this intentional? I am playing it on Chrome 17.0.963.56.
