I would just do the high res version, Construct will downscale on runtime. This http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/644134 for example was done in 1024x1024, in the Newgrounds window options, I set it to 768x768, and everything downscale. Of course, my game is graphically simple, if you use pixel art for example, if you downsample you will lose a lot of detail and the graphics will look weird. For example, If you go from 1920x1080 to 860x540, each 4 pixels on the art will be 1 pixel on the screen.

If you are not using pixelart thou, go for the high res.

I am very excited, I just participated on my first Ludum Dare, and I see that be on a game jam can be amazing. And also, the theme here is very interesting.

You can create a variable, for example "Shot" and make it so you can only shoot if this variable value is zero, so, when you shoot set the value to 1, and after X seconds set its value to 0 again.

Just disable "default control" on the inspector and use "Simulate control" on events.

This is really cool, and a big time saver, is also have a plugin for Construct 2, Unity and GameMaker, called AutoTileSet that auto places the right tile according to it's neighbor. It would be pretty awesome if that could be used with the TileMap object.

Well, it seems it works at first, than you restart the layout and it stops working.

Maybe your Global Variable is keeping its value between sessions.

Put a "On start of layout" condition and reset the value of that variable, if I understood it right, it might work.

Loki2020, is a old school kind of arcade game, so, you have to die, so you get a score.

I just bought Construct 2 early this week, me, with the help of my little sister, did this simple game and put it on Kongregate. Any feedback is welcome, cause I am learning the software now.
